Thinking of doing hood vents, has anyone had any problems that did it?

Cleaned up a little surface rust under my drivers side rain gutter, painted rain gutter.
Changed fluid in my NP231 since I know have around five hundred miles on the rebuild.
Replaced U Joints on the front drive shaft, and started on the rear drive shaft.

I didn't do anything to the XJ today but...I'm looking at finally getting a winch. I think I'm going with a steel cable, just not sure what brand to buy. Badlands....smittybuilt...etc.
I can't go all crazy and get a $1200 warn.

Getting ready for winter. Roof rack cross bars off, snow tires and wheels on, temp sensor changed, antifreeze checked (-50). Oil undercoat Monday if the rain holds off. Golf clubs will come out after first 1" of snow.

I personally would go with synthetic rope on whatever you get. Right now I have a badlands and a smittybilt sitting in my closet since they're were dirt cheap. If I was buying one new I may go with superwinch, or almost any brand name other than warn. Everyone I know seems to have issues with the warn winches they own

I plan on getting stuck in mud holes, at least until I can afford some lockers.

Got a Stainless steel T3 exhaust flange for the 617. Time to bend my exhaust up.

Almost every synthetic rope I've seen comes with a 4' long sheath for protecting the line over whatever it may rub on. The synthetic line is just much lighter and safer you could always throw something in the back of the Jeep to cover rocks or trees or whatever the line may run on also if you're really worried about it.
Synthetic is lightweight, but easily damaged, and not as "explosive" when breaking.
Probably more but it's Friday night and i'm tired, lol
