What did you do to your Cherokee today?
There's a metal rod that holds tension on the ratchet/teeth that lock the brake lever. The button has groves (I thought they were threads, but it's just ribbed) to match said rod, but it's entirely made of plastic, and is made from two halves, so it may have been crap from the factory, or just wore out.
Aside from having to remove the center console, most likely to get it aligned properly, I'm going to JB weld the button back on and pray the spring doesn't break.

Finally got around to changing out my valve cover gasket. Probably the first thing I’ve done with no hiccups or breaking anything.

So when I got my XJ a year ago the guy told me he replaced the brakes, brake lines, fuel lines, and a recent tune up. I could physically see that indeed those items were replaced. So I took his word on the tune up as well. I guess it was my own fault in thinking the tune up included the plugs. This is what I pulled out.... Needless to say now the motor runs much better.

Just picked up a 94 2dr 5spd. Have a question with the fan speed not working in all settings. Changed blower motor switch as it was toast same with the plug, did individual connections, changed blower motor, and resistor. Fan only works on high, any ideas?

Found it on Craigslist. Some guy was selling a Jeep and I noticed it in the pictures. I called to see if he would sell it separately. A 15 minute ride and $20 later and it was mine.
That is another thing I tell people when looking for parts. Check out the Jeeps for sale too. You might see a part you have been looking for in the pictures. Most of the time it does not work out. Once in awhile it does.
You won't know till you ask.

They're copper plugs. They need to be replaced a lot more often than newer vehicles...30k, replace....also, go NGK and not Champion, the NGKs have better heat range than the Champions...across all years of the 4.0

Replaced the leaf spring shackles and changed the rear diff fluid with 85w140 and put a lubelocker on. Old shackles had blown out bushings and it's easier to just replace he shackles than press new bushings into the old ones.
Also replaced the CCV elbows and grommets in the valve cover. One of the previous owners used the wrong front elbow and used two of the small orifice elbows which is incorrect.
