Cleaning, cleaning, sanding rust and more cleaning, it's amazing what 25 years of careless driving can do, I've found an old marlboro cigarettes pack under the center console...

Took advantage of the mild weather and put a coat of wax on the '01 Sport today. During the past week we also worked on the other Jeeps:
On the '00 Limited we replaced the wheel hubs with new Moog hubs. I'm a little concerned based upon one of the posts this week about the supposedly declining quality of these hubs but they were ordered a couple of weeks ago. Also replaced the axle U-joints. Replaced with NAPA branded u-joints from SKF. Also changed the oil. Went with Pennzoil full synthetic 5W-30 for the winter months and a Mobil 1 filter.
On the '01 Limited we also changed the oil. Went with the usual Rotella T6 5W-40 and a Mobil 1 filter. Took samples from both to be sent to Blackstone for analysis.
Also made the wife happy by washing and waxing her Odyssey
Happy New Year!

Ralph, where did you get those polycarbonate headlight covers? Been looking around for some but I can't seem to find anything. Your rig looks sick, by the way. That spray wax is nice.
After locking myself out while it was running (first time for everything...) and idling for over 2 hrs waiting for the insurer-provided person to get me back in, this afternoon was odd. Cranked forever, idled rough, but soon was just fine. Got a pending P0301 (cyl 1 misfire), but that should go away. Doesn't sound bad now anyway.
Is 2 highs really enough time to monkey it up? Hopefully some seafoam will clean it out. Not due for new plugs for another 4k at least.
Anyway, make copies of your keys, kids!
