Edit: I wish I would've checked to see if it had a rear tow hook, but I didn't even think about it.

I have the eye loop style one on the front of my Comanche right now and it was missing bolts and stuff so it's not currently on there correctly and all it really does is hold the bumper on, but I plan to cut a new front section off of a Cherokee for my Comanche and swap these hooks onto my Comanche when I do that.
Edit: I wish I would've checked to see if it had a rear tow hook, but I didn't even think about it.

I think holes are in different positions. Rear tow hook on an XJ is kinda shaky. Only one for the rear and it is on the driver's side. And can only go on that side. To be frank as a recovery point I don't know. I just put it on for a look. Also modifying a second one I have to put on the passenger side. My buddy separated the bracket and rewelded it for me. That shot is just a test fit.

Got it. It did not click when you said eye loop. I refer to them as eyelet. That is part of the rear tow hook set up in my '00 parts catalog. I have them. No mention of using it up front in an '00 parts catalog. But is listed in the '94 to '96 parts catalog for the front and rear. I found new aftermarket ones for about $12. They are shown being used in conjunction with the smaller base tow hooks in front like you have.
