Got the parts to work on putting a rear sway bar in the Comanche, washer fluid reservoir to swap into the Comanche, speedo gear, 97+ wiper arms, and wheel well liners for the Comanche. Got a zj Pitman arm and 4 sets of axle shafts for the Cherokee. I think that's it

Pics of the painted manifold, and you can kinda see the #1 header pipe I guess.
Now I need to either paint or replace the thermostat housing, because it looks like an eyesore next to everything painted. I swear though, this Jeep's engine bay is the cleanest thing in my life currently. Not sure why everyone is reviewing this header saying that it doesn't bolt up flush, because mine did. The bolts below the manifold for the bottom of the header were a PITA. As others have stated, it was impossible to get my digital torque wrench in there so I had to settle for the German Torque Standard aka Goodentight.

Removed the hitch in preparation for tire carrier bumper that should be in soon. While back there I replaced the hatch seal and flipped the striker around to get rid of the annoying rattling of the hatch door over any little pebble on the road.
The new new seal actually made a difference noise wise as I can’t hear the exhaust as loudly.
Got a line on a ZJ gas tank skid for 10 doolars I’ll pick up next week.

So probably a stupid thing but I bought a Mopar Fuel Pump brand new in the box for $150 today. I got tired of those I can't find a fuel pump threads cause when I see them I go look for a Bosch pump and can't find one. It was on Craigslist for months.
Also trying to replace the plastic, they really suck, tires on my air compressor. It is a really nice compressor. To bad they used the tires they did. If I had a garage and it just got wheeled around in it I would not have bothered. But I take it out from where
I store it and wheel it around our kinda paved/gravely driveway. Figure just a matter of time before I get a "flat". So going to try a couple of the HF tires and see what happens.

Nice find on that pump! I see it has the large lower strainer. My new pump had the large lower strainer too but the original one was almost like a postage stamp!
It is not like I won't use it. I am like 98% sure that I have a problem with the check valve. After the Jeep sits for a longer period of time the Jeep takes a little more cranking to start. When I checked my fuel pressure when running it was right at 49 lbs. Can see the leak down when not running. But the turning the key twice to prime the pump takes care of that. There are guys who have had the same problem for years and never fix it. I checked and you can even buy the check valve on top of the pump separately. But to go in there and just fix that makes no sense to me. I have been living with it like this since I bought the Jeep 6 years ago. No big deal. But I figure if I ever get bored and have nothing else to do to the Jeep then maybe I would fix it.
Imagine that. Owing a Jeep a not having to fix or wanting to upgrade anything. LOL.
It is just those damn I can't find a Bosch fuel pump threads that pop up from time to time. Makes me think of it and I go look and can't either. I would rather use a Bosch one. I work at Napa and can't find the Bosch one to buy anywhere in the country. I looked just before I bought this. I can look and see what all the Napa stores close to me have in stock and also look to see what all the Napa warehouses around the country have in stock. Through Napa that would cost me about $225 without tax. So I said screw it.
As a matter of fact I am considering hoarding parts. You know the ones that you should really only use Mopar ones for. Like the CPS. I would have no problem buying aftermarket parts. But in the forums you read about guys having problems with them. Everything from more critical parts like the CPS down to stupid crap like thermostats. I read about one guy who said he went through 5 Stant thermostats before he found one that worked properly. Pretty sure my Napa one is a rebranded Stant but appears to work fine and has for the last 6 years.
I have to figure at some point those parts that it is more critical that you buy a Mopar part will just not be available anymore. And I want to keep my Jeep forever so.............
