I did passenger side motor mount, cap, rotor, wires, plugs... Back plug (guessing #6) is being a real PITA. Old one came out with no issues. Put the new one in, used a length of hose to start it to make sure it wasn't cross threaded, about 3-4 turns until the hose slipped - just like the other 5. Put the socket on there and snap - cracked the top right off. Stuff happens so I went down and grabbed another. EXACT same thing happened!! Not sure what I'm doing wrong unless its the angle that I am at, but I'm using a wobble extension so it shouldn't happen.

I will be headed back for 3rd try tomorrow. Then I can do the trans mount, thermostat, radiator cap and then build myself up to tackle the rear main seal.

I think I would be seriously tempted to repair that #6 thread at this point. Re tap it?

I've broken a couple spark plugs. Make sure the socket isn't bottoming out on the plug (the square part of my extension was too long and hit the top of the plug) and the rubber piece inside the socket usually help keep them alive as well.

It goes in without an issue using the hose to start it and the old one came out without any problem.i think it's either doing as Satirical Hen says and the extension is hitting it or more than likely the socket is slipping and snapping it. The reason I think it is less of the extension is because the front 5 gave me zero issues but they are all straight on with the ratchet/socket.

But they don't show the inner boot for a Cherokee. Only for a TJ.

Plug #6 done. Used a u-joint with better articulation and it went in no problem. Now to swap the coil, transmission mount and solder in new fuel injector plugs and it should run better. The #2 injector plug wires just pull right out of the connector, I don't think it's even working.

Have fun this weekend everyone!

Replaced the rest of the window seals and the lights i was originally going to put up front are too large to fit in the stock locations so im going to get another set for that and repourposed these as a rear and and undercarriage light. And wired up my fan bypass that ive been putting off.

Finished the paint and ceramic coating. From what it was to what it is now, I am very pleased.
Look at the blue.

All done

Very slick now

Time to move onto the interior and then get the bumper all finished up and start driving it.

Install new winch up front and ordered a factory 55 flatlink E for it. The old winch was having a intermittent problem so just thought best to remove it and replace well in process of removing it found a bad ground. Already had new one so will sell the old one. new looks better on the front anyways being black !

Not today, but during the week, I passed 400,000 miles with the 2001 Sport. Picture of the odometer the morning after. Passed 400,000 coming home from work Monday evening. Tried taking a picture of the odometer when it happened, but with the flash and dimmed dashboard lighting all that resulted was a blurred picture of the instrument cluster.
