Had to change a frozen expansion valve. The large fitting on the evaporator core decided that it wanted to act like it had broken loose and was turning, but alas it just twisted off. Guess I am now going to change an evaporator core next.

Resealed the new motor for it, then pulled the old motor out and got the new one bolted in with a new trans mount and new motor mounts.

I spent the majority of this Africa hot day in my driveway trying to get the E fan to actually work like it should. I can not get it to turn on unless I direct wire it to power. Since I'm out of daylight that will have to be my Memorial Day project, and it's going to be another 98 degree day here in my part of Florida.

I'm thinking wiring it to the ignition is the best way so that it's just on all the time, since every XJ is always running either a little or a lot hot.

I'm off to Google to find a write up for this...

Ironically, my Google search led me right back here. LOL. I do this so that I can see what CherokeeTalk and other forums have to say also. A lot of times it's the same person on different ones, but there are a lot of ideas out there so...

On the XJ Changed engine oil and did the 500 mile break in change on my freshly overhauled Tcase. After that mowed 2.5 acres of grass. I hate yard work.

Went to the JY found a 94ZJ, and got the parts to do the rear disc conversion on my little 93.
Also found a 94 4 banger, AX5 Chero so we are going back tomorrow to pull the engine to get the bell housing with the external slave.

Was able to wire in a relay for the e fan. I got it working after connecting it to the ignition source but after taking a 20 minute test ride, it is not working again. I didn't change any of the connections and the fuse is still intact. All grounds are redundant and good. Kinda stumped.

Default Baby steps...

Finally started some fixes/projects on my 91 Limited after 6 years of ownership. Figured out that mounting 95 xj seats was easier than I thought if I used the 95 seat sliders.

Replaced oil filter adapter o-rings. Next is rear main seal and oil pan gasket. Possibly oil pump seeing as there's 273,000 on the clock. Baby steps I guess.
