I went to You Pull It this afternoon after work and picked up a passenger side window glass, glove box door, and the ac/heater control. They get put in tomorrow along with a new power steering pressure hose. I'm going to go back tomorrow and pull a radiator/hydraulic fan assembly just in case my radiator repair doesn't hold. I'll try to remember to take some pics.

I replaced the leaking power steering hose, installed the passenger side window, repaired the broken glove box latch, installed a driver side low beam bulb and led interior bulbs, and had a new tire put on the right front. Finely got the rig running for the first time. Nice power and love the handling and ride. I'm ordering more stuff to continue the restoration.

Over the last couple of weeks I have been preparing for replacement of bad shocks and poor quality lift on the recently acquired red ’91 XJ. Upgrade plan includes an Old Man Emu 2.5” Ultimate Hybrid kit. I have been soaking all suspension fasteners with penetrating fluid and have most bolts broken free. Unfortunately the OME springs had a 4 week lead time when I order the kit. I can’t wait until the 4.5” front lift, sagging rear springs and clanking shocks are gone. In the mean time I have removed the front flares in preparation for replacing the fender liners and repainting of the stock flares. Still need to locate a good front left fender liner - I prefer OE and am having a hard time finding a good salvage part. Front sway bar is off for bushing replacement and painting. Stock headlights have been replaced with Hella Vision Plus HB2 conversion. Transfer case fluid changed. Today I began paint restoration starting with a good washing and synthetic clay bar process. It is looking good for 28 year old paint even before waxing.

Default Exhaust manifold

Has anyone done a fix for a 2000 Cherokee Sport so the exhaust manifold doesn't sit so close to the oil pan?

Serviced the little 2 dr. Changed the engine oil and front and rear diff oil. Went with 75-90 synthetic. The spider gears and ring gear looked mint. No shavings, no chips. Not bad for 151k miles (I'm assuming that was the first time the covers had come off. Also went with gaskets rather than RTV.

Aired out the 4 dr. Once my house sells (knock on wood), this thing is getting all the monies and then probably more dents and trail rash.

I'm gonna be back stateside the month of September officially so the jeep will finally get to be driven and mods will be installed. I have everything just about ready for the rocktrak swap except drive shafts which I can't order until I get the measurements with it installed. The guy I purchased it from installed 1350 yokes on it so I'm thinking about just getting matching pinion yokes rather than running a conversion joint at both ends. Once I swap to tons down the road, all I will need to do is lengthen or shorten the shafts.

Went to You Pull It after work (again) and picked up a rear hatch wiper motor. My 23 year old daughter was with me and while I was pulling it she checked out the other 4 GC's. She yells "DAD COME HERE". She found a cargo area retracting cover. We bought both for under $40. When we got home we put both in and they work great. All the necessary repairs have now been finished. Up next is new headlight assemblies, hood supports, rear hatch and window supports, exterior LED's, and the painting of the front wiper arms and roof rack.

Taken the last couple days off but for a few days before that was feeling my way through my rear seat headrest install.
Have not figured out everything yet but am getting there.

Dropped in a salvaged efan from a 2000 into my 95, theone in my 95 had a broken frame. Replaced the old pin style front wiper arms with 97+ j hook style wiper arms and replaced all 3 wipers at the same time. Also went ahead and adjusted my driver's side door pin in just a hair so the door would fully seal in the rear.

Oil change in the MJ and started changing the gear oil in the rear of the XJ only to realize I didn't have enough left in my jug to fill it. Oh well guess I'll run to the store tomorrow and grab some more.
