Another thing I did awhile back was resurrect an old unused laptop I had lying around and put Windows 10 in it.
I do have WiFi with my cable package and using it outside works just fine.
I don't own a fancy phone, and have no desire for one, but it comes in handy if doing
something more involved when using a write up on the forum or a YouTube video.
I got tired of going inside, looking at my desktop, going back outside trying to remember
what I read, do it, then go back in for the next step.

^^^ Good stuff. I have a tablet and a tower PC that I have hooked up to an old smaller flat screen I had laying around that works as a work station and a media controller in the shop.

I installed the new radiator and upper/lower hoses. Hooked up the power steering and transmission lines. Installed new air filter. Took the rig down to AZ about 20 blocks away and picked up another gallon of coolant. On the way home my low coolant message came up on the overhead console so I pulled into a parking lot and filled it. So far I haven't noticed any leaks..I added some Purple Ice when I put in the initial coolant. They claim it drops the temp up to 25*. Now I only have the temp gauge to go by but it was almost one line below where it previously ran. We'll see. It could be because it's a brand new, clean, radiator too.
Also installed a new PCV and the engine seems to idle a little smoother now. The old one still had some rattle to it but not as much as the new one. I could clearly see some buildup in it.

Pulled the roof rack because it was faded and the cross members were worn thru to metal. Disassembled the whole thing, cleaned it, sanded it with a soft sanding pad, and painted it with satin black hammer spray paint. Let it dry and reinstalled, using thread sealant and weatherstrip silicone. I must admit that the rig looked pretty nice and clean without it though.

Decided to do something about the crappy steering wheel. Bought and installed a leather cover. Took quite a while, and three needles, to stitch it on. It doesn't look professional but it's definitely easier to look at. Here's before and after. I'll go in later and glue down the loose sections over the spokes.

More stuff done today. So far I've pulled the driver side door panel and lift hatch panel. I pulled the speaker out if the door and installed new weather shield in the door and lift hatch. I then installed a new speaker in the door. I'll post some pics. I also chased down wiring from a botched remote start installation and when I removed the cover between the door and windshield I found another job to do. Oh joy ! Later today, when it cools off, I'll attack the front passenger side door and install a new speaker and weather shield in it. If I have time I'll see if I can do the rear doors too.

Ran the Comanche in the autocross for fun today, and convinced my buddy to do it in his buggy on 37s. That was some fun.

finishing a performance radiator swap on my XJ too... I've had her for just under 2 years... and had been meaning to do a heater core flush long before now... just as preventive maintenance because of the PITA that they can cause when they get clogged up...
Well did that last weekend and found a whole bunch of some variety of stop leak in the drain bucket afterwards...needless to say I was a bit pissed at the PO. That dork should never be allowed near a vehicle.....as that is really meant for when you are up the creek in the middle of no where...and fix it properly when you get back to civilization... not to be used as a perm. fix.
Now the stock 20 year old radiator is not leaking and cooling right under 210....but I can't stand that crap in the system... plus I'm moving to an even hotter climate than I'm in now in AZ....and just didn't want to run the risk of continuing to run a compromised rad. in that kind of traffic and temps... so decided to go ahead and do the swap so it's one less thing I have to worry about as she's currently my DD.
Ran out of daylight...but will have the new one hooked up tomorrow.

Got an upper brake light assembly in today. It's LED. The gasket that came on it sucked so I removed the gasket off the existing light and super glued it onto the new one.

Attacked the front passenger side weather shield today.

This is the door as it sat after removing the door panel.

On the driver side in my first attempt I used a silicone adhesive but fought the stuff because it wouldn't set up very fast. This time I used some 1/4" two-sided molding tape. I exposed the top cross section and pressed the pan liner onto it and it stuck immediately. From there I could cut the liner as needed.

I installed the new speaker and checked glass clearance before installing the door panel.
