I have used both the eraser wheel and the 3M Adhesive Remover.
I prefer the adhesive remover.
But it has to be the 3M stuff.
IMO the other ones out there suck.

Did a lot.... not in one day but over a few anyway.
Upper/lower ball joint
wheel hubs
painted a bunch of everything
painted and installed a junkyard fuel rail
new fuel injectors
replaced the fuel line at the fuel rail
rewrapped the o2 sensor harness (now getting a P0174 code... think I broke a line)
All in all a busy few days with the Jeep!

My headlights started acting funny a few days ago.
Not like I drive much at night. LOL.
But I poked around today to see what I could see.
I fixed it by replacing one of the two relays.
I started a thread cause I am wondering about a couple things.

Ordered EMU +2" springs for the front. Spun up quite a ball of things with the dirt devil. New pads and Greased the front end.
Changing oil and filter next: Mobil 1 15,000 mi 5-30w.
Trying to decide which bed liner to use on the body panels. Rhino seems to be the one most go to.

Bought new ice scrapers.
Gotta be 40 years ago my mom tells me she finds the best ice scraper ever.
Gets me one.
She was not kidding. Nothing compared.
Goes from car to car to car for over 20 years.
I lost it and kind of forgot about that style until about a week ago when one of the guys at work shows me his from about 40 years ago.
Sure enough I Google it and they are still around.
I just hope they are as good as I remember. LOL.

Spent the better part of the AM re torquing bolts associated with the header and exhaust. The damn B pipe is contacting the dropped TC and it appears I need a new one of these: https://www.ebay.com/i/123881795798?...RoCyd0QAvD_BwE
Looks like the rubber block that is designed to isolate the exhaust pipe hanger is wallowed out pretty badly.

I only bring this up cause you said block.
Some came like that. Pretty sure in my '00 the rubber was circular like the link above.
But there are also these:

Thank you, Ralph, that is *exactly* my situation and currently what's under there. Cursory searches revealed that some XJs in that year range apparently have the circular "catalytic mounting bracket" but that's not what I have. Wondering if they are interchangeable? Also looking at some aftermarket tranny mounts. This clanging on startup is annoying. It does go away after 30 seconds but still, annoying at startup.
Not even sure that I have the circular one in my Jeep but pretty sure. I would have to go look.
Guys have rebuilt them kinda.
Maybe you could throw some hose around the part of the pipe that goes in there.
Figure just get hose that could handle the most heat. Tranny hose maybe?
Got to watch out for these Ebay sellers. I stalk Ebay like you would not believe and find things that I am pretty sure are wrong all the time when it comes to the application.
Hey I could be wrong.
One time this guy was selling the factory headlight harness from an XJ that comes with factory fog lights.
In a '97 and up my impression is that if you don't have the fog lights you have a different harness.
Anyway he was advertising it as a '96 and down. I recognized the fog light connectors. Thinking that ain't right.
So being nice, not really in my nature (LOL), I PM'ed him and told him I think he was wrong and it was a '97 and up one.
Well he got back to me and thanked me for catching it.
Well I said since I saved you from getting a bad rating for that how about selling it to me at a discount.
I think he wanted $65 shipped. Pretty sure I paid $35 shipped. MLOL.
