What did you do to your Cherokee today?

OBD II What?
Hi: Trying to read the OBD II with a USB device. Turn on key, port opens, reads, see and save diagnostics, all looks good. Start it, port goes down, comes up, goes down, constantly. I guess a noise problem. Going to try a ferrite core on the cable..
Jeep stalls while warming up. Stalled once today entering a parking lot. Starts back up right away.

I got my rack today un-boxed it and checked it out no damage and everything is there , I think I might blast it and add some welds before I bed-liner it also thought about powder coating but Raptor dries hard and I don't want to mar items I strap up there . Time will tell I probably won't install until spring , That gives me time to do all the work .

It is my daughter's Jeep and mom won't let her drive it like that. Plus the amount air blow by that is also coming out of the valve cover says that it is time.

Alternator went for a ride yesterday. Replaced that, and ordered a Supreme Susp 2" lift, fan shroud, factory front bump stops and trans mount.
I did this today, not by choice. Im not in this thread a lot so may miss replies. I am totally unharmed, super lucky, could not have threaded the needle better. Long story short (yeah right), I’m a snowboarder, on the mountain virtually every day. Born/raised/still in Juneau AK. Was headed up this morning during some snowfall… roads were extra bad, new wet snow on top of slick black ice surface (even worse tonight after plows), very loose footing. Going about 40-45 behind a ranger. Total accident, vehicle got grabbed by thick slush and turned sideways in a millisecond. Did three 90° fishtails and ended up sliding sideways into the ditch across the road, passenger side first. Front corner hit other side and spun me the rest of the way and flipped me on my side. All the sudden, I was suspended sideways in the air... stoked I had my seatbelt on. Top passenger corner of rear hatch/body took the impact.. amazing it didn’t break a window, no dents in the doors, even the side mirror just folded in but is still intact. Passenger quarter panel dented in without breaking headlight, and didn’t even affect hood alignment. Impact didn’t reach into the engine bay at all - even my battery that’s temporarily not strapped down was still in place. I’m still amazed. 4ft in either direction, especially 4ft later, I would have slammed the butt end of the guardrail and destroyed the body, or worst case, exploded gas tank (it’s a Jeep thing). Ran out of time running back & forth, so checking fluids and potential contamination in cylinders tomorrow before starting her up, but I think I may drive away from this one. Passenger tires were ripped off the wheels, but the shop was amazed to find zero damage on either end… beaded right back up and I got them back on the jeep. They are pretty new KO2s, only had them on since fall.
Haven’t taken a deep look, but didn’t find anything misaligned. Going to take a better look ASAP, especially at steering. But, with completing my lift soon, some of the parts that may be in question will be replaced anyway.
Relatively brief moment thinking I had ruined my jeep was not fun. Highly not recommended. This just a couple days after losing our beloved nearly-human dog we had for 16 years, the ultimate companion who saved my girlfriend’s and her mom’s life more than once, and put in a million miles hiking mountain tops until recently. Screw this week, but all will be well in the end.

ah that all sucks. Is that a healer by the way? We have one. Best dog I have ever had. He will be 4 in May. Jeep could have been worse, and sorry for your loss.
