Cause I am thinking you could just splice in the connectors off XJ fog lights, hook everything up, and be good to go.
Grounds would be in place along with power. Also in case you don't have the connectors some ZJ's used the same ones.
I want to say '96 to '98.
I know this cause I put factory fogs in my '00 that did not come with them and that is where I stole the connectors from.

I say go for the bumper too.
While I am trying to build a Limited/Up Country etc clone I don't like when door molding and bumper caps are painted to match.
Even on a black one.

they are, but I've already wired them in separately so that they kick on with high beams. All I have to do is splice one wire and they will operate as a stand alone circuit.

I forgot that with factory fog lights they go off with the high beams.
You are going to wire yours so they go on with high beams?
I like that idea.
I can't do that cause my Jeep never had them. I used OEM aftermarket ones, with a factory switch, and wired them like you would aftermarket ones.
But wouldn't want to.
Now the Grote LED's I bought for the brush guard I would like to do that.
Going to have to look into that.

ok, so to do that, you need to wire them to a N.O relay, and the control voltage for the relay ties onto the + for high beams.

I did that, but when i had the fogs still, i pulled the headlight relay (i think) and bent the tab so they would stay with High beams

basically I'll be using the OEM fog power to control the relay, instead of high beams, but because of how the relay is modded, I can keep them on with high beams(or off)

Hopefully one of the projects I will get done this year is a bunch of electrical stuff.
Want to add a fuse box with a circuit breaker in the engine compartment. Get my 155 amp alternator in. Take out all the old battery cables that I just zip tied out of the way (LOL) that are still there when I upgraded to 2 gauge last year.
Find a central location for relays. Make my own headlight harness so those relays can go there too. Want to buy this for my overhead console:

https://www.shapeways.com/product/LT...ionId=63515302

Been sourcing factory switches and pigtails for that. Going to run the Grote lights off one of those switches. And might hook up some rear lights.
Even have a European rear fog light switch, the symbol is different on them, that I want to use for those. Thing is the rear fog light switch operates differently. Kinda like the rear wiper switch. So I will try to just use the toggle part with a regular fog light switch. Also would like them to work with the switch and when I put the Jeep in reverse. So have to research that a little.
The unused 2 in that set up from Shapeways I will wire and hook up to relays but most likely never get used.
Also will have to rewire my fogs cause I have to move the relay.
And I have figured out that I can make all the switches illuminate when you turn on the headlights so....
Oh and also the Viper coil mod.
And now see if I can get the Grote's to go on with the high beams and operate independently. MLOL.

When I did the bumper change, I picked these up on the cheap. They are for a Westen snowplow. Wired them directly to the factory fog light harness, so they work off factory switch.

I grabbed these off Ebay awhile back. Thinking I paid about $35 for the pair. Bought from 2 separate sources though. $17 for one and $18 for the other.

Even through my store I think it would have been $25 apiece. We sell a lot of these too.
I mocked one up really quick when I got the first one.

In New York fog lights can be on with low beams only.

You have a laundry list for sure. I got the rear bumper painted. Gotta do the front tomorrow

The best relay/fuse box I've found is the factory one. I added some relays and fuses to my factory box for the couple small add ins I have, but for my friend's 4Runner I added an entire Cherokee fuse box and wired in the stuff to the box. Easy to add more later on if necessary. Also as far as the light being on with a switch or on with reverse there are 2 ways I've done that type of thing. 3 position switch, on-off-on. With the first on being tapped into the reverse, the off well off, then the second on being on with a switch. The other way is to use a relay "backwards" (this method only allows for reverse or switch, there would be no off option which would prevent them from coming on with reverse) on a standard 5 pin relay 87 would be wired to 12v power, 87a would be a 12v when the reverse lights are on, 86 ground, 85 would go to the switch, and 30 would go out to the lights.

. . ,
On and off I have been working on replacing all rear suspension components on the '91, applying a rust converter as needed and restoring underside paint and undercoating. Fortunately there was only surface rust and very little at that. The front suspension is next.

I have watched a couple videos about doing that. My problem is I think that it would be to big to put anywhere.
But I do like the idea of having the relays and fuses all in the same spot.
While I don't think I will end up with that I have not ruled it out totally.
I want to use factory fog light switches so the on-off-on switch way won't help me.

This is the relay that I used to set up the fog lights I am running.
Which I want to use for all the lighting.

https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/LIT1...wordInput=192d

With this one when you flip the switch power is from the 87 and 87a pin out to the fog lights.
One is hooked to 87 and the other to 87a.
Ground is 86, switch is 85, and power to the relay is 30.
So 86 and 85 don't change.
So you are saying now run 30 to the lights? Which means I have to split that wire to each light?
Then 87 goes to the battery?
And I splice 87a into one of the reverse lights?
And that will make them go on when in reverse and let me operate the lights with the switch independently?

Not really.
There is all that.
Try to get my SpoilerLight rear spoiler on.
The rear tire carrier.
Trying to see if I can wire up the Infinity Amp and the spare tire subwoofer I have.
I would like to see if I could put a power antenna in the Jeep. Some did come with them.
There is still the rear seat head rest mod to try and do.
The '96 and down retractable cargo cover that I want to put in to replace my cheesy tarp one I have.
I would like to swap my 231 out for a 242.
Put a 8.25 with a Trac Loc in and do the rear disk brake mod.
The Up Country suspension.
And last is getting my 16" Icons on.

What makes me laugh is thinking that if one of you guys had all these parts in front of, plus all the parts
for all the things I have already done (all the skids, tow hooks, power/heated seats, Privacy Glass swap, overhead console, etc),
in a pile you probably would have banged this out in a couple months.
Thinking been over 5 years. LOL.

Which OME leaf packs are those and did you use all the leafs, or did you remove one?
