What did you do to your Cherokee today?

I want to move the spare tire out of cargo area, but being challenged in the stature department (I'm 5'4") putting spare tire on roof is not a good option lol! So for now I just keep it in my garage after I bought 4 new tires and keep my fingers crossed I don't get a flat anytime soon!
....if I go with any bigger tire than what I have now... I'll have to get one too.. the one I have in there now almost kisses the glass... that's not good... lol

Jpoe0108 Best I can measure the inside of the wheel mounting surface is ~5" from the inside edge of the Rim.
Got after it a little better and I measured 4.25" on the 17's vs 5.25" on the stock 15's. So around 1 inch more negative than stock.
The hub I installed last year was barely movable with bare hands :/
Good to go now.
The ones I pulled in 2018 will be the trail spares now just like the front axles that came with it.

Bought it from a dealer in New Hampshire(?) or Massachusetts maybe around 2003. It was already discontinued by the time I started looking for one. Somehow found a dealer with one through internet searches then, and maybe some help from the Fairfax Circle, VA Jeep dealer parts location. Can't remember what I actually paid. IIRC, the parts guy at the dealership that had it said it was listed for $36 or $72 or something, but it would be marked up more and I would have to pay shipping too. I said fine and gave him my card number. They never charged me for shipping and I don't remember which price they charged me. They thought it was broken in box, but all that was wrong with it was some decorative plastic chipped off and was rattling around. I have no idea what I did with the security hex key that came with it either, so had to find a set to take it down. Replaced those fasteners with 316 stainless 1/4" hex socket heads.
Never had a lock on it. Have ordered a cover from Covers and All, which was reasonable when I put it in my shopping cart. Lucky the original deal was still there, because it looks like the prices went through the roof since. Right now the spare is sitting with outside face of wheel up. Unfortunately, the hub can't screw down far enough to expose enough threads on the 5/8" center bolt to put a set of washers, a nut, and a jamb nut on it. When the cover comes in, I can flip the wheel over and screw it down farther to accommodate all that. As it sits, I reach over and grab it every time I get in and out to make sure it isn't loose.
This is the original bolt that came out of it. Was a plain steel heavy bolt (1 1/16" hex head, 5/8"x11 coarse, 7" long). I replaced it with 316 stainless 5/8"x11 fully threaded, 15/16" hex head. Had to get an impact wrench to get it out and an angle grinder to take off the ends of the hardened steel pin near the end.

Picked up a beautiful set of 2006 Moabs, with good Kelly tires, 245 75 16 and a spacer/shackle lift to get them on the jeep. Will probably do the OME kit from Quadratec
They are for the 2wd. So far I have the front axle HP30 for the swap over.

Put more break-in miles on the gears. Driving this around town is LOUD but pretty fun. 4.56s and a stick rock!
I bought Napier flares for it today too!

Careful about that kit. OME no longer manufactures a true 1.5-2" leaf pack so Quadratec ships those with OME's "lowest" pack which is a CS033RB. It comes with an add-a-leaf already installed. I'm using those leafs with a 1"boomerang shackle and am at 4" of lift.

I believe it's the 3rd leaf that's pulled from the pack, correct?

Cleaned most of the glass, rain-x and anti-fog in the front.
Cleaned up the dashboard a bit too. Discovered I don't actually need new dashboard lights after cleaning the clear plastic.

Just wanted to wish everyone a happy and safe Thanksgiving. Of the many things I am grateful for this year, my rig and this forum are close to the top of the list during these trying times. Thanks to your advice, it hasn't caught on fire...yet.
Over the last week I've been busy installing some Alpine component speakers in the front doors, a new Alpine 100W x4 amp and the oh-so-fun wire run involved therein. Discovered some alternator whine after doing that so now I have to upgrade the power and ground lines for my two amps. I have to work today so it'll have to wait until Sunday or Monday...

Replaced aftermarket black antenna with factory bare metal one from Pull-A-Part.

Be sure the ground wire for the amp is larger than the power wire and as short as possible (also attached to bare metal).
You can pull the RCA jacks to help isolate further if you used those.
Pull them from the amp and if the noise persists it is entering somewhere else at the amp.
Also be sure to not run the remote lead or power wires near the RCA cables (if used).

Finally moved on a Yankum, 30' 7/8" knietic rope and a 10" x 3/8" soft shackle.
Matts offroad recovery is sponsered by them and they built up a nice yellow set (normal Yankums are red) for him to sell.
249 delivered which is about a 50.00 savings over an order from Yankum.
Rope, SS, bag and a sticker.

That's awesome! When I went to buy a standard Yankum a few months back, they were out of stock on that 7/8 rope so I went with a Voodoo Rope instead. Still a solid product but I would have like to have supported Matt somehow.
