[QUOTE=AudioFreq;3629613]Loop isolators are a last ditch effort.
I am still going with a bad ground or your choice of spark plugs.
Thanks Audio! I wouldn't have thought the plugs had anything to do with it at all. Funny enough I did change plugs recently for some that weren't shielded as well for EMI. I'll try going back to the old Champion RC9YC plugs and report what I find.

So I got a little sidetracked yesterday and did not finish.
But did today.
Cleaned, regreased. bulbs and pigtails checked for continuity, and the
rear fog light toggle placed in a regular fog light housing.
Not only did I pick the cleaner parts that likes to melt from my collection but
also the better looking circuit boards and toggles.
So next Spring at night going to make sure they all actually work.
Doing it at night cause I want to see how the symbol looks with the
headlights on. Sometimes they get a little discolored and look eh.
So anybody know what LED's to use for these switches?
Just for the top clear white one.

A free, basic level of security.
LED's for those; idk
Blue requires the most power to illuminate so they will dim the least (without a special, PWM dimmer box)
Green has a much lower kick-on voltage so that may work gooderer as to factory dimming.

Be sure to add a switch for a fuel pump cutoff.

This stupid idea popped into my head wondering if the bulb(s) was doing it.
I have seen fog light refresh threads over the years. Went to revisit some of them.
Came across this one:
https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/fo...repair-109808/
Read the last line.
Like I said I thought it was a stupid idea, remember I full of them, when it popped into my head.
Then this guy had to go say it. LOL.
I am just talking about switching the clear bulb in the third shot to an LED.
Just want a white one.
LED's run cooler right?
So figure might be better for the life of the switch.

The spare tire cover I ordered from Covers and All arrived. Seems to fit well, will see more today or tomorrow.
Since it it a roof mount carrier, I asked them to add 6 grommets evenly spaced about 2" up from the elastic so I can use something (zip ties, a cable, etc) to keep it secured to the tire. They said OK and took my order, and my money.
One month later, they said they cannot put the grommets in, has to be just elastic. I asked what changed, they repeated their statement.
I said fine, just make it without grommets and I will figure out how to make it work.
They shipped it and their email said it was "out for delivery." I contacted them through their chat feature and asked for a tracking number. They gave me a link to the FedEx tracking, which said it was in India. I informed them that "out for delivery" never means the package is on another continent, at least in US English.
The FedEx page said someone was going to have to sign for it. So, when it got into town I asked my mother-in-law to listen for FedEx and sign. She waited close to the front door all day and never heard a thing.
It was on the front porch when I got home from work. I checked online and the "signature" was a misspelling of my name. BTW, FedEx couldn't care less if their drivers do this because they have no easy way for package recipients to report it.
When I got the package open, looked great, nice sturdy material, and the grommets were installed just like I was wanting.
Edit: Didn't get to mount the tire carrier the way I wanted, but got the cover on and secured with zip ties.

Replaced the bottom bolts on my track bar mount. They were rusted enough to let it move a bit. Hopefully Monday I'll get time to do an alignment.

So it looks like that bulb is just a 3mm and may need to be wired in with a resistor.

"390 ohm resistor I used to bring the voltage down so as no to fry the LEDs with 12v"?
I don't understand how running 12 volts through the bulb is a problem.

Yeah, I'm not the guy for all the electrical science but I saw the one who posted the eBay links posted for a 12v bulb. If I ever attempted to replace that bulb with an LED I'd try to find a 12v just to make it all easy.

So it seems a factory water pump can go 323k miles. It only rattled at idle and no weep leaks at all.
We finally get a chance for some deep detailing of the gunk!!
Temps are fine so not doing the 'stat right now.
Three year warranty is the best I could find for a locally sourced, pump and the serpentine.
The bright side is it is not 35° today. More like 46

Dropped my oil pan and I can indeed feel movement on the #3 rod. So the squawk and knock that sounded like #3 or #4 is confirmed. Now I'll go re-read the long block purchase thread.
