Yeah. It came chrome and nothing else is chromed so I decided to prime and paint it. Over the last couple of years it's been blue, orange, blue, now red. It's literally impossible to keep clean no matter what I do so I end up just repainting it.

You find it loud in the cabin?
I picked up a used Thor awhile back for $115 shipped.
Seemed like a not bad price so I grabbed it.
Been hesitant about putting it in.
My '00 is just a DD so......

Loud? Yes, but then again, everything is pretty loud with the motor mount lift and the StinkyFab tranny mount vibrating my teeth loose.

Actually I play my music fairly loud so I don't notice it too much but yeah, you can hear it if you listen for it.

Not a D thing.

I dropped my motivator a couple weeks ago and it rolled away somewhere. I think it's lost in the weeds out front.

Yes, from research... not all came with the courtesy lights, but the wiring plugs are present so if you find a pair, you can plug right in.

I cut the boxed section out from under the doors on each side and took a snow shovel to clean up the rust pile.

Finally dropped my fuel tank. I've never seen so much dirt and mud lol. Those j bolts are an absolute son of a *****. Not to mention having a wheelbarrow full of dirt in my face. Was going to just cut them but fought on and eventually got them loose enough. Didn't change the pump yet but getting there. Then the leafs will be next. So busy now progress is extremely slow. Having xj withdrawals. Oh still need to do the solenoids in the transmission but that should be easy compared to the rest of this stuff.

Relatable. Just dropped my tank not too long ago. I had read that the J bolts were a pain so I just bought a new tank strap kit that included them. In the end I didn't even change out the strap but the J bolts were fragged so they were replaced. The tranny solenoids aren't as bad as you might think, and it gives you an excuse to drop the trans pan so you can see all those shiny metal filings I was shocked how well the transmission shifted after I replaced those at 205K miles though, for sure.

Driving to work today she started to studder and have a pretty severe miss at a traffic light. So it started throwing a P0201 code, which is Injector Circuit Open on the 1st cylinder... seems I have a malfunctioning fuel injector there. I'm able to reset the CEL and it goes away.

It's frustrating because it seems to come and go but it looks like I was partially right about the feeling that she's just not getting enough fuel when I go past 60% throttle. Bad injector o-ring possibly, or the pintle in that injector is toast. Either way, thinking I should probably revert to an old injector I saved to see if it changes things. Maybe this new head doesn't play well with these injectors...

I finished up a few projects. Got the infinity component set installed in the front doors, fixed the broken driver door harness and installed the new window switch. I might take the factory switch apart and fix it, I'm not a fan of the "feel" of the new switch.

Waiting on the ABS sheets to get here so I can go back and make a better more weather tight mount for the crossover.

Replaced my valve cover gasket, degreased the engine bay and underbody, then a wash and ceramic sealant

Finally got the fuel pump done, putting it back together was a breeze. Fired right up, even seems to run better. Hopefully that delphi pump lasts a while I couldn't find anything from bosch. Definitely need to do the solenoids. It's just the tq converter one that's slightly out of wack but I'll replace all of them. Then the leafs and shims, and then finally adjusting the front caster and pinion and buying me a brand new shiny front drive shaft. She's so close to being ready for the trails. Not having the front drive shaft in is making me feel inadequate hahahhahaha. Hopefully my transmission enjoys the new solenoids as much as yours does.
