Would love to take credit for this idea.
But like everything I do to my Jeep it is just an idea I stole from somebody else on here. LOL.

Also curious how you know the alt is putting out 178 amps @ 6000 RPM?
I reckon I can put it anywhere near the PDC. I will put the fuse holder between the PDC and the fender.

So far every motorcityreman HO alternators I have bought has an output test sheet for stock size pulley.
Fortunately, as a retired master mobile installer I can put it about anywhere I like.

That makes sense.
I had a stock alternator rebuilt by guy local to me.
Said he was able to up the amps to just under 155.
I was curious if there was a DIY way to test that.

Looks slick but I don't know if it serves me much purpose to run my winch feed through the PDC.
If that one blows on the PDC I lose basically everything (but the winch would still be hot with the new fuse ran solo). No?

Not that I would know any better but thinking you would not.
Be its own separate circuit (cable) with a actual fuse breaker right?

Although, if I ever need 6 grand of rpm to our winch: I was wheeling wrong!!
I plan to use mech advantage as often as needed.
Heck I won't even free rev it to 4 grand.

I've got a stock 160amp alt off a durango I'm gonna rebuild to be a 320amp unit. Probably going to order the 46mm pully from mechman for it.

Found out that the four angry squirrels under my hood have taken ill, and they need to be replaced.
You would think finding a replacement would be easy...........................who wants a lowly 2.5L?
No not in todays USSA.

Sorry to bother you comrades.
I think I will be shopping for a used LADA???

You should eliminate the 4 angry squirrels and upgrade to 6 ill-tempered ferrets, haha

Was considering flat towing the 2000 to Colorado but will be trailer towing the 850 wagon, instead.
The other half will follow me in the XJ. ~800 miles

Pulled some rod ends and main caps and found that this engine is done. So I need a long block or a local shop that can actually do a rebuild.

Getting engine parts, or even a long block is beyond frustrating right now in this country. Ask me how I know??????
