I think you'll find that most car stereo's will begin clipping at some point when cranked. The best thing to do is test the output (mulit-meter or a proper Oscilloscope) to determine the max volume level of the stereo. If not set properly I wouldn't push the volume over 80-85% of it's max as a precaution - this is actually what I do in my current setup that has not been completely setup.

I do agree most headunits are crap but they can be set up to have no audible clipping wide open for most listening material.

A little off topic, but would you consider yourself an audiophile? Do you have a recommendation for a good pair of over-the-ear headphones? Right now, I'm partial to the Audio Technica ATH-M50s.
Started on the bad rocker section. Got it cut out a patch panel made up. But weather cooled off again, another hold up. Will update when finished. Waiting on parts too, all of the nuts broke off when I tried to remove the flare.

I have a set of Philips SHP9500 with a small mixer that has a headphone amp in it and I love their sound. They are very light on the ear and have a ton of great reviews.

Did an oil and filter change, greased everything, checked all the fluids, new air filter, and wiper blades.
Slight problem with the oil filter though.
I restocked on my Napa Gold 1085's awhile back. And while they are rebranded Wix due to covid and supply chain issues they are made by some company out of Germany.
Can't recall who something H_____ & M______ I think.
I use an oil filter cap. Helps to not whack the oil pressure sending unit and since I plumbed it those fittings it sticks out that much farther.
And my hands don't really work as well as they used to so when putting on the filter I do it hand tight the best I can, put the oil cap back on, and give it a little extra.
I find it I don't do that a little tiny bit of oil wants to come out between the adapter and the filter at the bottom.
So the new filters are fluted at the top, sorry I should have taken a picture, and I can not use my oil filter cap on it.
So I cranked it the best I could with my hands and we will see what happens.
What also worries me is trying to get it off in October for the next oil change.
Doubt I will be able to get it off with hands and thinking now I will have to buy an oil filter wrench,
Hoping I can get it in there and not bang on the sensor while doing it.
Going to go to the store and see if we sell a cap for this type of filter.
But also hoping that regular Wix filters are back in stock and swap the other 2 I have in stock for them.
Just wished I noticed this before.

As, in my experience, most filters are still round (i.e. perfectly smooth) as they have always been, so I've been using a strap wrench most of my life & never had a problem - speshly on an XJ, which has to be one one of the easier filters to change.

Always used a strap wrench on my XJ. From above or below it was easy to get to. Now my Ecoboost on the other hand, that one needs 3 different style cap wrenches depending on who made the filter.
So have had a blown driver's side fog light since last Winter and finally got around to swapping another one in.
Had 2 brand new, left and right, fog lights still in "stock" so installed both of those.
Figured this way both would match.
Also figure replace the blown bulb in the one and have 2 used ones in "stock" for the next time.
Also got around to vacuuming the Jeep.
After the move And Winter it was kind of a mess in there.
Still needs a good cleaning and detailing and will get that done in time.

What kind of paint is that on the rockers? Is it primer? If it is regular automotive primer and not specifically epoxy primer it will rust.
Well, I have been chasing the p0300 code for a while. I fired the parts cannon at it which I did not mind on some stuff as the components have over 200K on them and what was not mopar was standard. I decided to swap out the bosch upper 02 sensor for the NKT, I had it swapped about two years ago and had to take it to a shop for them to get it out. I figured yesterday since it was so soon ago that this would be a quick 15-minute job while the wife was cooking. That was the first mistake!! of course is came out with the threads. I tried the chase tool from the auto parts store though I had it and ruined my NTK sensor threads. I quit at that point and today went to an industrial supply to get a tap and die as I am very aware of chinisum metals. I can now say it is back together right after having the right tools. So if anyone is facing this issue I may part with some very high-end 18x1.5 tap and die
