I need to do that. My blinker doesn't reset when I turn a corner.

Had a P0455 code keep popping up. Gas cap gasket was hard and cracked, so I replaced it a few weeks ago. Worked well for about a week, then the code popped back up again. Last night I replace the rusted line from the tank to the charcoal cannister. Cleared the code and now time will tell

This is the wrong forum, but you might wanna check the vacuum line from the engine to the vacuum modulator on the passenger side of the transmission.

I didn't think that was a clockspring function - but, considering the price of a spring, I'd live with the Canadian spec blinkers.

I've heard that it's due to a broken clock spring. Not sure about that though.

The clock spring has 2 fingers that come off the part that turns with the wheel that trigger cancel function of the turn signal stalk.

As we had self-cancelling long before I'd even heard the term "clockspring" (in this context) I made an assumption which, it seems wrong. However, my real point was that if I was wrong, I would not replace the spring just to restore that one function.

So after a week & 70-odd miles, at the second attempt, got my gauges working again; it was a fuse all the time, but it wasn't obviously blown, & it would pass enough current to light my testlamp - took a little time to realise it wasn't as bright as it should've been.

Brakes are done and bled, took it out for a test drive no more sticking and no more nasty old fluid. All I have left is to put some miles on it (battery died) and smog it, oh and all the other stuff I've been putting off (d44 swap, front locker and gears, paint bumpers, frame stiffeners...) But I guess on the top of that list is the sector shadt seal I burned up getting the old pitman arm off.
