Also found the power steering fluis leak since it got worse, I felt bad but now I know it's the pressure hose at the crimp.

ooh dyno smog? My state did that for a while, took my 95 14 tries at it to pass once. They thankfully removed em by the time I had to test again.

I've been prepping the trail rig for its next phase, which includes full frame stiffeners. Removing this thick Zeibart undercoating has been an absolute nightmare. I hate that I thought this was a good idea like 6 years ago...

I'm wanting to keep as much of the original paint as possible for actual rust prevention but it some places, it's just not possible.

Perhaps you should take some consolation from the fact that but for the effort you put in 6 years ago, you might not have enough frame left to stiffen.

Where did you get the linkage?

yeah, I feel bad about it but the price difference is a lot. Maybe the original guy can make one with cheaper parts and call it his budget line.

How is the quality of the one you got?

Gotta give a shout out to Dead Jeep.

Needed a transfer case fast. They delivered within a week.

Don't hesitate to buy from these guys, awesome experience.

I also got the knock off linkage online, it's pretty beef

Grade A chinesium, part are cut and bent properly. Hardware looks good and I have no concerns.

when I searched I also looked for the original, but it said it wasn't available. So i did what I had to do.

I would have paid more if it was available, I'd rather support the little guy

Two things I did to my xj yesterday:
Installed a brand new Bosch fuel pump while fixing a fitting inside the fuel pump assembly. Then proceeded to enjoy some light wheeling with my wife and kids and did this! We just did not see that huge boulder. Hopefully, I'll find a tie rod end locally tomorrow

An unwanted result of beefing up the tie rod, I suppose. Can you not get the stub out & fit a new end?
