There is black electrical tape that makes it looks like it was cut. I'm going to add a TPS to my must-carry list of sensors along with making sure I have a 1/4 drive T20 torx. Shame on me for not having it on-hand! I know there are many lists floating around that mandate a minimum equipment list (MEL) of items. Forgive me for i have sinned...

Did an oil and filter change and also replaced the AX-15's mount. I'm trying Rotella 15W-40 this time around (well 4qts of that plus 2qt of leftover Rotella 10W-30). On a really hot day so far this year the oil pressure drops to the 8-10 psi range at a red light. I know that the rule-of-thumb is 1 psi per 100 rpm's so I'm good but I'm curious if this would make any sort of difference. It hangs at 40 psi when you rev up the motor a little bit and also when driving along.

Removed my recently rebuilt, zero mile, drum brakes.
This late in the game I decided I want rear discs.

Good call! You'll be happier with disk brakes.

Default Finally set up the new gears

Hey y'all I just finally finished setting up the new gears and Eaton TrueTrac on my Ford 8.8.
I was wondering about the order of operations.
Obviously I could finish building out the axle but I still need to weld the new brackets on and I'm curious if I should do it as is or if it's fine to finish assembling everything minus the brake lines and weld that stuff on later.

Had a good time learning how to set up these gears and the crush sleeve eliminator kit was a breeze to install. JEGS had one for $16.00 that worked perfectly!

First time setting up gears. Took me all day but I'm really happy with this pattern!

This past weekend I chopped my fenders off to make room for 31x10.50's. Looks good from far, just don't feel the cuts, they're not perfect 😏

Default Air pump mount

I was organizing back here, and thought it’d be nice to have a strap to keep my air pump here.

So I added one.

So I killed my downstream o2 sensor with a pressure washer (fuse good, infinite resistance on heater) so I tried to remove it and

So I chose violence (after asking nicely, I hate ubolt clamps)

I still have to get everything back on but that's a problem for future me.

Changed the Oil, in the on/off rain. Jeep runs a lot happier now, made a hell of a mess though.

Am thinking of maybe a 4.6 build for this summer.

I flew to my home for the weekend and wanted to try something to temporarily mitigate the ridiculous squat in my '00. I installed the Superior RideEFFEX Over Leaf Spring Assist kit. This was like $70 and installed in about 10 minutes.
Before: Rear fender height Left 29.25, Right 29.75 (ground to bottom of plastic fender flare)
After: Left 30", Right 30.5"

Again, before anyone freaks out, this is just a temporary measure until I can get some springs installed. I live 1000 miles away and I'm only here one weekend a month. I'll be installing new Dorman 929-301's in my 1997 hopefully next weekend.

I'm trying to wrap my head around how that helps. Not saying it doesn't just don't understand the mechanics behind it.

I think it's preventing the spring from flexing upwards. This probably creates and incredible amount of stress on the shackle. Maybe it will loosen the shackle bolt lol.

We used to refer to these as "helper spring" not meant to correct a failing spring but to give the spring a little assist when trailering. Bowed/collapsed/broken springs should be replaced. You can buy re-arced springs pretty reasonable.
