slamming on the brakes and trying to avoid is the one thing you DO NOT do...
It is much more dangerous than just hitting the thing, and is how most ditching/rollovers are caused.

True. I'm 16 and don't have tons of money for repairs, not to mention my insurance isn't full coverage so once I wreck my baby, it's all over.
My first reaction has always been to avoid a crash at all costs even if the risk is high.

pulling ebrake would be better than slamming on the brakes. You can still control it at least.

If you live in deer country, slow down on back roads, turn on the brights and pay attention. 90% of the time you'll be able to see their eyes in the woods before they ever jump out onto the road.

That or just get/build a nice beefy bumper and run them over.

I've heard of people in Wranglers and XJs with beefy bumpers hitting deer at 55 and not having any damage other than some blood and fur.

Agreed... The XJ handled it a lot better than I thought it would though. 45-0 was pretty successful IMO haha

Yeah it's kinda deer country lol. I'll definitely take that advice, I need it. I don't have brights because I'm running HIDs but it's like having my brights on all the time which is a plus. I did see their eyes and I thought it was a dog or something at first. I bet if I didn't have my new headlights I couldn't have prevented this accident at all. As for the bumper thing, I'm planning on getting a prerunner bumper in the spring!! Whats funny about hitting deer with beefy bumpers is a friend and I fabbed up a solid steel beam bumper for his old ranger. We built it to hit deer. Lol we welded spikes to the front end and everything it was pretty hilarious.

Yup that would be a concern if I didn’t have the flood lights on my roof rack, but for a few bucks you can pick up some better than stock backup lights
I'd be down for a set as well if you decide to go into production

Last night I relocated my alternator to the top, ditched my clutch fan for an electric fan. So for this afternoon I have to wire the fans, I'm also going to put some left over mustang injectors that I have in it and change the oil.
