Great views of your fire extinguisher there Kyle H. Best ones yet. Looks good. Hard to keep a white vehicle clean. I have two white vehicles and they would be full time jobs to keep clean if that was my goal. Truck rarely gets used (sucks up too much gas) and the Miata is my wife's task to keep clean as she drives it 99% of the time.

Oh ya, I plan on trimming my fenders up past the bolt holes, but below the flare out, and adding door molding to keep it clean looking. That's my plan, and should be done in a few weeks, as I do not have a grinder at my current house.

Grinders are on sale through the weekend at Harbor Freight if you have one close to you. Just went and bought some extra 4" cut off wheels (also on sale) It ain't Makita but works OK.

Hope those help out a bit man. As they are much better pictures of the location than posted previously. If you notice, I have the mount angled quite noticably, i dont mind it, since it puts more vertical stress on the upper "holder", which is what it was designed for. I don't see any problem mounting it parallel with the A-Pillar, but I did it in a hurry cause I was more escited about putting in my CB/PA system

lol, I beg to differ! I had one of those bright orange grinders from HF that lasted about 20 minutes! I think it tells you something when they send a spare set of brushes with it! lol

Oh yeah, I moved the XJ from one spot in the yard to another today

Well my HF grinder has a slap wheel on it and has been fine for two bumper builds so far and is working great.

Kyle H. Thanks just exactle what I have except mine is red. I will make that a Saturday project. So I have made a plan for my XJ today. That's pretty pitiful.

My fire extinguisher is in the floor between the seat and the door. A 2lb bottle fits there perfectly. I also have one 2lb under the back seat and 1 5lb chemical bottle and 1 5lb water exstinguisher in the back. I once watched a rig burn to the ground, I don't want to have to watch another one do the same.

I have a big 5# extinguisher for the back to be mounted where the OEM spare was. The small one I have between the seat and the door sill on the passengers side but it would be difficult to get to in a real emergency so the A piller mount seems appealing to me.
I plan to mont mine there in the morning. If the force is with me.

Well today on my wifes XJ

I removed the front bumper pulled the ugly air dampner off. Getting it ready for tow hooks


The hard part... Dropped the oil pan. PIA. Rear main seal now visible. All though i been routing around in the hole and i cant find the top part of the seal. This thing was leaking like a sieve I wonder if it was ever there. Well i got tired of oil dripping on me (taste nasty also). So I started removing the shocks and springs to put my lift in it. Got one side OFF took me like 2 hours PIA again. Broke the sway bar in the process. Could this day get any worse. Anyway I have spring compressors and trying to figure out if i should use them to put iback together or just drop the axle. Even with the spring compressor this is a PIA and now i got three mor inches to put back in there. This is my first exp with lifts so i rekon i will figure it out but any help is appreciated

Spring compressor and swing the axle down as far as you can without removing at least one set of control arms. Jack up the opposite side you aren't working on. Its a pain... But being able to work with the spring compressed makes it slightly less of one.

Well, I hope the force was with you this morning. Throw up a picture if you do relocate your 2 pounder.



Today, I managed to dirty up the Jeep again. Ugh. Can't keep it clean.
We had to do some wheelin to get to our campsite last night. Good fun
