I replaced the rear washer gasket so; I wont spray anyone, anymore. And, I got the part at the junk yard for only $1, half the price of admission. So in reality I got it for $3.

I've been looking everywhere for an XJ Waggie I can just take all of the exterior parts off of, no luck so far.

I want the 1984 Wagoneer limited chrome grille and headlight bezels, the waggy tail lights, the chrome windshield trim, the chrome mirrors, and the chrome jeep badging on the hatch.

I still don't know why Jeep got rid of the parts used on them. They were by far the best looking XJ parts.

Replace the steering box twice in a week. Took the old one out last Thursday, only to find the NAPA replacement had been boxed wrong. Put the old one back in. Had to wait until today to get the replacement and then did the swap again.

LOL! Reminds me of when I first went into the Army. I had never work on anything with a motor bigger than a push lawnmower as a kid. My SGT. told me to grease the battery terminals of a dumptruck. So I got the grease gun started putting grease on it and BOOM, it arked, put a huge hole in the grease gun....lol

It's time for a trans fluid flush/fill because the shift points seem to be a little "off" and lately I've needed to flutter-kick the go pedal to promote shifting. I also need to do a brake inspection to find why it feels like it's dragging a rear brake (rebuilt rear brakes 6 mos ago due to busted self-adjuster cable).

My morning started with a trip to my local VIOC, where I was the first customer at opening time. They were all ready to crack a line to drain the ATF but something in my gut made me ask them to wait until all their systems are "go". Good thing I stalled them because the shop's compressor exploded (central system in the basement thankfully) while doing the morning warm-up! They'd be crippled without it. I could've been stuck there with a nearly empty tranny until their compressor was fixed.

Now my XJ's at home and up on jack-stands prepped for the brake inspection. I paused briefly to exercise my constitutional rights, put on my jumpsuit and to visit the forum. I might have to start an OEM Tech Q&A thread with pics but it depends on what I find - and on what Mr. Murphy's got in store for me today...
