Finished and installed my rock sliders. Made them out of 1.75 x .120" round tube. I was going to weld them on, but then decided to bolt them on.

I high cenetred my jeep in a snow drift that hadn't melted yet... sitting on my body, three wheels in the air... in the middle of the woods.

Dug it out with some small shovels I had in the back...
Had 4 inches to rock after an hour of shoveling, and two minutes later I was out. Note to self bring two vehicles...

Well, tomorrow I"m gonna go visit some local junkyards looking for rims. Then gonna go to tire shops to shop for new shoes for my red beast. A couple days after that, get to start working on ball joints and front brakes.

I put a new u-joint strap and bolt kit on my rear end and talked to rough country on the phone for about 2 hours trying to get them to warranty the bushings in my lower control arms.. (I will never buy another thing from them ever again) found a Ford 8.8 rear end for $150 out of a 97 explorer with 3.55's in it does anyone have a kit for the swap?
