Jeeps are tough in the way trying to break a metal-plated rock is.

drove it to school, drove up some big snow banks with some friends and one kid drove his cutlass up and cracked up his air dam and another friend of mine floored it with his neon and got stuck. on the way in to school, the parking lot lady came out and started yelling asking who had the red truck (friend's dakota) and started calling in parking pass numbers. i parked infront of my friend's neon and she didnt see it until like 5 minutes later and the look on her face was priceless.

she didnt say anything about me but i got called down to the office midway through my class. some black guy gave me the ticket and started saying somehow, one of our trucks could have slid off and ran over a little kid or something and i guess the bank across the street started calling over and complaining. the lady that came out started trying to calm down the dude and he stormed out. she started saying she knows we are kids and i was being nice too saying i understand and we live and learn and yadda yadda.

ended up getting a $20 ticket and i can't park on either campus until winter break (2 weeks). ill just have to park behind the back parking lot and in the free parking ramp across from the senior campus. anywho, cell phone pics of the neon.

It's good to be 18. That stuff just kinda takes care of itself then. You could have played negligent and just been like "oh okay then" and hopped in and drove off, as soon as you 'realized' your tow strap was still on (and the neon back on loving tar) you could have sincerely apologized for your misake and been on your way

I enjoyed the hell out of my sway bar disconnect. here's some b/a photos taken at the same location, the rock in front of my jeep is the same one in both photos.

for anyone wondering how your ride changes, I'll describe it as best I can. The back pitches a little more around turns, takes a little getting used to. Overall, the ride gets quite a bit smoother. I've also noticed it's a little harder to do donuts, both wheels are sticking a little better. Other than that, I've been able to drive it just fine (I know I know, all the guys that were telling me to do this are like "I FRIGGIN TOLD YOU SO!!")

i worked on my heater system again today, blew a heater hose yesterday morning so i had to replace that, then the system got vapor locked so i had to fix that. 2 hours later i finally got the thing fixed and guess what, no heater again. and it had been working so good up until the heater hose ruptured!!!!!!!

I drove mine to pick up the wife's Acura at the marina in our neighborhood because my Jeep won't fit in my parking garage at work.

I got home from my work trip to Vegas, last night. I put in the new Vibration Dampener. Amazingly enough the serpantine belt stays on like a champ, now...LOL. I still can't believe that we all have a 2 piece dampener with only a microscopic thin piece of rubber between the pully and dampener which is subject to separating after the rubber piece starts to wear. Oh, and I replaced leaking gaskets on the water neck and water pump, as well. I'm betting a constant bath of hot water and anti-freeze contributed to the rott of my rubber pieces in the pulley system. Tis the season for gaskets to shrivel and rubber pieces to harden and crack.

Drove on a little dirt service road that turned into a sidewalk about 1/2 mile down...had to back out (good fun).

Bought some d-links $10 each.

Talked to the 4-wheeling shop guy about lift kits. He can get me a good deal on them.

changed, CPS, put oil in and hooked up starter and crappy battery and started the ol' girl, as she roars with no cat or muffler, now time to get the driveshafts rebuilt, and get the front end put together
