Well today I will get out and take a good look at what needs/and wants to be done to my new jeep. I started the day by renaming the jeep and starting a blog page ( http://wildspear.blogspot.com/2011/0...wildspear.html ) on her. Going to be a nice hot day in MI, no rain, a good day for wrenching.

Gettin' prepped...
As you can see by the pix, I took out the remnants of my e-brake and the hardware and took some shots of the remnants of the shocks, which is why I was asking for opinions on shocks. You can see how toasted everything is the pix.
Rear driver side shock...toast
E-brake removed and the hardware removed...toast
Rear passenger side shock
Brake and hardware removed..
Toasted hardware and pad remnants
Luckily, the cables and the lever are all in working order with no binding so all I need to get is pads and the hardware...and lots of grease.
So, this is what I've been working on.

Race went well today. Outta the 1500 people in it, about 150-200 were service men and women.

Thanks to all who serve and gave their life for our freedom!
Today i sprayed white lithium grease on my pullies and cleaned the idle air control valve. Much smoother idle.

Replaced the crankshaft position sensor, hoping to eliminate the sputtering problem. Who's idea was it to put it there? Could it have been in a tighter spot...sheeshk!
