That's what I'm talking about... memorial day, family, and a jeep... all a man needs. Funny, I'm 2/3rds of the way there on the sons. Mine are 3 and a half and 2.

Pulled both axles and took them to my gear guy. He installed 4.56's in both and a Detroit Locker in the rear. Got the axles back and cleaned them up for a coat of satin black. Reinstalled the rear housing, gotta bum a Dremel off my friend so I can open up the backing plates on my ZJ rear disc setup; they don't quite slide onto an 8.25. Once that is done, I'll install my Yukon 29-spline shafts and button up the rear, then onto the front axle tomorrow evening. I'm tired.

Started my day by cleaning my battery terms. Got them good and scrubbed, added the brass fitting for the + term, coated both in some battery terminal protectant. Then got underneath and tightened the oil pan bolts in hopes of at least slowing the oil drips I get underneath my rig. Scary that all the bolts were hecka loose. Gotta get the pan gasket changed one of these days.

Then pulled the blower motor out, after pulling the surge bottle and stoopid abs pump-crap thingy, (abs to booster swap coming soon), and cutting thru the in/out a/c lines since the a/c is dead. Got the blower motor sealed in some silicon because of the notorious passenger side floor leak. Hope that'll stop it. Lastly I pulled the plastic cover thingy that sit where the wipers are. Gave it and the wiper arms some rattle can black treatment. Then did some light detailing inside. Was a great holiday.
