Awkward angles, vertical and overhead. With some patiience, and a spool of weld wire, we can rebuild, faster, stronger, well maybe not but we can rebuild. My wife suggested maybe I should look for another new to me old jeep and start over, perhaps I should take her out back and show her the 91XJ and 89Comanchee waiting patiently for their turn in the shop? Been driving the ZJ this week, 28.5 cdn mpg, wow, that's 22.8 us mpg, on the sweet runnin 4.0L, that's 5 mpg better than my XJ. Couple pics of the carnage and the mending, should finish it up tomorrow.
SO. MUCH. RUST. lol

The welds look good, can't wait to see the finished product!

I think I should send some emails to my local town council and the provincial members of government. Perhaps they could double up on the winter road salt, our vehicles are just not rusting fast enough. The Peep is turning 22 and still has some faint reminents of uniframe left.

Destroyed passenger side cv. Complete failure. The sounds it made coming out of the woods was quite horrific.

jeep proved more reliable than my girlfriend(now ex)... so it earned some rust stop paint and kevlar truck bed liner... and a ton more time...

Just bought 2001 Cherokee

Fixed the horn and dash lights.
Then tried to install new steering stabilizer. Could not budge one of the bolt/nuts even with big impact wrench. I am recovering from heart surgery so I was afraid to try a giant breaker bar.

Also recharged the AC last week. It is holding, but compressor sounds like it is going to die eventually.

Left speaker dead. Pulled panels but found that it is the radio. Getting a new one anyway in another week.

Rest of the beast doing great. Oh yeah had the trans flushed last week and new air filter. Oil just been changed.

As soon as I get the new snowplow support on, I will start playing with some new lights and some guards for front and diff's.

I love tinkering with a new project.

Squirting the car behind you is the best feature. Sure stops the tailgating.

I hate road salt with a passion, it's pretty much all they use here in Michigan.
I seriously don't know why the gov't uses it. It would be better and cheaper to just use sand. If that's an issue, they should just stop putting stuff down on the roads, I'd do fine without it!

Washed it, looked at the many scratches from tree branches, that's what happens when you take a Jeep on trails too narrow for some ATVs
Also cracked my taillight by backing into a tree on another narrow trail, and I think I broke something, there is a new rattling noise when I start it or get on the gas hard. Get to check out underneath it tomorrow to find out.
Half the fun of wheeling is breaking stuff

After I fixed my tailgater squirter I mounted a pair of 1"x 2" 55w halogen lights in the license plate area, better light for night wheeling and stops tailgaters better then wiper fluid
