Jovie's previous owner left me with a Python Security System/Remote Start and a steering wheel lock because the Jeep kept getting broke into in St. Louis. Also, the last time it was almost stolen they busted the steering column so I also inherited an annoying sqeal every time I make a 90* turn.

PO was selling on CL, wanted $1500, I offered $100, negation ended at $500. All stock 1996 2dr 122,000 miles w/ 2.5 I4, 5spd, np231, 30f 35r, and not running... Pulled the plugs, gaps were from 0 to .085... Pulled the cap, no rotor. Cap, rotor, plugs, wires and an Optima yellow top and she fired up!!!
Findings since then:
Clogged heater core
Electrical fire in the dash due to wiring the cigg lighter to the fan speed control switch
Bad U-joints in both drive shafts
Sheared off exhaust manifold bolt
No thermostat
Bad TPS sensor
Bad ECT sensor
Seats welded to the floor from some other vehicle
No rear seat
Rear wiper sprayer busted at hatch
No radio or antenna
Sloppy track bar
No interior door panels or window cranks
No dome light
Bent rear bumper
Damage to lift gate
But she's mine and runs like a champ, all above listed fixed and improved
Here's a pic the day I bought it, a clean pic, an out playing.

Mine came with bad front brakes, bad ball joints, bald rear tires, rusty rockers, and lots of other rust that was painted over. Only paid $700 for it though. On the good side, I got a mixed country CD he left behind.

I got a clean titled jeep.... somehow. I have notice that the driver door at some point in time was ripped off,
the PO thought cutting the stock wiring pig tail for the radio was a good idea,
No radio,
sand everywhere (looks like the vehicle was wheeled) I got it stock with saggin springs.
Cracked exhaust manifold.
BUT The 4 wheel works flawlessly, gets 22 mpg, strong motor (leaves my buddies 2000 zj like he put it in reverse.) no knocking pinging and rear wiper works.
I love it.
