On my 01
Bent drivers door (new door in color)
Dented roof and hood (new hood in color)
bad u joint in the front axle right axle (still gotta fix)
31' in the rear (bald) 225/70/15 in the front (new tires)
bad trans mount (got a new one gotta get time to install)
self gernading 8.25 with solid silver fluid (got a Dana 44 to put in)
No exhaust (fixed)
Lift blocks in the rear to "level" it out and leaf spring curved the wrong way (got new springs)
bad master cylinder (P.o sister poured power steering in)
Rear shock fell out (gotta fix)
Bad heater core and non working AC (core has not exploded yet and haven't recharged AC)
Rust hole in drivers floor pan (gotta fix before winter)
Wood screws holding on the passenger side flares
Two used profolatics under the back seat
One hitter
booze and beer bottles
rubber encrusted rear wheel wells from burnouts
a cheap CD player with all the wires exposed (I know electrical tape is so expensive)
The good
A 01 Cherokee with 140,000 that ran super nice for $1,000. Total when I'm done ill be less into this jeep then what a rusty high mile goes for locally and gives me room to make it a good cruiser for a daily driver.

A nasty @$$ interior, everything covered in tar. About 8 or 9 empty packs of cigarettes (guy told me he never smoked in it....right.) A cut up steering wheel covered in an annoying bead style steering wheel cover. A grand cherokee drivers seat and a broken passenger seat along with a bunch of trash under the back seat. Also got some daystar poly rear leaf bushings and U-Bolts If I ever lift it. A brand new AC system with a smashed in condenser...A/C worked great apparently. Right. A leaky valve cover gasket and nasty old oil and a bad track bar bushing. But on top of that I got a strong running 99% rust free jeep...And I love almost everything about it lol

The PO for my jeep was a wanna be rockstar/drug addict!
He left me skull seat covers, a really old half working kenwood stereo complete with a CD of his band free of charge... Which his band royally sucks by the way. Im pretty sure toddlers could make better music haha. The headliner was ripped in several places.... Don't wanna know what when on in there... He also didn't believe in maintence, as a result I also received a worn out engine with no air filter, cracked radiator, huge oil leaks, and a gas cap in place of the power steering cap... What a feature! And if that wasnt bad enough, i found marijuana seeds scattered all over the badly stained floor. Really Mr. PO... S? The drugs must have burnt his last brain cell. Looking back, the only good thing the PO left was a dashmat....
Needless to say... my jeep was a rolling Felony.
The first stop I made under new ownership was a car wash to vacuum the drug paraphernalia from the floors, and to ditch the cd, and satanic seat covers. My first project was replacing the carpet and seats. The next was fixing all the PO's neglect. Still to this day haven't quite finished that project haha. I'd like to consider my jeep a rescue. Left any longer in his possession, it would have surely died.
Still to this day don't know what possessed me to buy that jeep, but one things for sure, it's been quite the adventure!

Yeah, that **** can happen. A friend of mine bought a car from a police auction, got pulled over for something and he was a bit eccentric. Long story short they searched his car with a drug dog and found a kilo of coke hidden inside the rear doors. The charges were dropped once they confirmed his story and found out the car had been impounded because it had been used to smuggle drugs, they just missed some and then auctioned it off.

Mine came with the 6.5" lift, wide chain in transfer case, cut fenders, welded rear diff, 33" KM2s, long arms/radius arms, custom sliders, CB, spare axle seals, spare front shafts, spare rear hubs, spare oem rear gears.
Think I fared pretty good, only odd/bad things so far I've found would be...
An extra upper control arm, front has 4 links but manufacturer only sends it with 3 (drivers radius arm and passenger lower control arm), an extra arm was welded on making two radius arms for some reason.
Front diff cover with plate welded to it for extra beef but the plate it some spots doesn't give clearance to get a socket or box end on the bolt head, have to work it out with the open end of wrench. Cover doesn't seem to be the stock stamped, has some thickness to the base material and the plug is a 17mm square instead of the normal 3/8" drive.
No worries on the cover though, have a brand new Crane cover I got for $20 going on next time I change the oil.

Oh yeah, We went through every square inch of that jeep afterwords. I guess the ironic part of the story is my father is in law enforcement. He's the one who actually discovered the seeds on the floor haha. Being the clueless teenager I was, had he not been there I would have had no idea.
Unfortunately I was also left with a bunch of seized, or otherwise locktight'd bolts...
