yeah... I'll probably look into it... as it did take several months and was a bit pricey to get here in CO. So worth holding onto..because you never know.

But as for capacity, I always wondered if more than 7 or 8 rounds in .45 is ever actually going to be needed to stop someone, if you are hitting the mark of course.
For most encounters one or two rounds is enough. But you can never count on that being the case. There are many cases where cops got into fire fights with a bad guy and ran out of ammo before ever ending the threat. It's like having a second battery in a Jeep, or a roll cage in a vehicle you never hope to roll. A safety net. And also a lot of fun when plinking.

Oh I completely understand. I like high capacity mags! Just can't get my hand around some of them. It's not the firearm, it's me. lol

I hear ya. I have decent sized hands and even I think the FNX-45 has a huge grip. But my ex-wife was 5'2" with small hands and she could shoot it. All I know is my FNX-45 is more accurate in my hands than any of the 9mm guns I either own or have shot. With the possible exception of the time a guy loaned me his 9mm Glock with a red dot on it. He used it for competition shooting and I was amazed at how well I shot with that gun.

But back on topic... I put a solar LED lantern in my Jeep that also doubles as a cell phone charger. Pretty handy when there is no power source around.

Here's one for you... I have mentioned it before here, but when we know we are going out there quite aways, we throw an 80 watt panel in. It will recharge my jeep battery in a couple hours

Oh yeah, trust me, a solar battery charger is on my list. That will happen soonish, but still looking at all the options out there.

those things are soooo nice now that they've come down to the open market (instead of just military only) and from what I've seen/heard, pricing is coming down to where it makes affordable to pick one up.

Yes they have. An 80 watt panel used to run just under 400 dollars, now they are down to less than 200.
