What glue is best for mounting a 5 panel Wink mirror??
I had a 5 panel Wink mirror laying around I never used and decided to mount it in my XJ. It has two mounts just like the single mount on a standard rearview mirror.
I bought some Loctite Rearview Mirror Adhesive and mounted the two buttons to the windshield. I followed the directions and used the glue in warm weather. I then let it dry overnight. The next day I mounted the mirror. It held for about 10 seconds and then broke off!!
Maybe I should have scored the glass with sandpaper but that's and is not in the instructions!
Can someone recommend a better, stronger glue?! The buttons are plastic. So I need a crazy strong glue for plastic to glass.
I know some people mount these panel mirrors with bolt in brackets but I don't see any way of doing that without drilling holes into the roof. Which I do not want to do.

^^ This. I did the mirror in my F150 three times with three different products following the instructions to a T and it never lasted more than a couple weeks, and sometimes only minutes. Paid a glass shop $10 and it's been good for the past four years.

Thanks guys. I went to one glass shop close to me and he was no help. He just walked me over to the Mexican market next door and told me to buy Krazy Glue -_-. I didn't think it would work but was only $2. It held for 3-4 hours and fell.
My engineer boss says plastic to glass is the problem. Metal is better. But I stumbled onto this JB Weld PlasticWeld at Autozone and tried it. It has been holding for 4 days so far!
I will update if it falls
