My first jeep was a 85 cj7 and I loved how well it climbed. Got me a zj later on down the line and a bunch of other vehicles. Had to have another jeep so I got an xj. Totaled it and bought a truck. I had to have another xj so I traded for my current xj and won't get rid of it now

My dad has been a jeep guy forever. Not really modding and wheelin, just has always had jeeps.
In '89 he ordered a 2 door 5 speed 4.0 4x4 with every option available from the dealer and drove it till 300k miles. I think that did it for me. I never realized how cool of a vehicle it was back then.
Fast forward like 10 years and I was in high school watching all the older kids have their big trucks and jeeps. Father gave me a ZJ when I was 16 and the rest is history.

Had a CJ7 last year they made them, and even though it was a four banger, it was a blast. Fast forward several years, I was running a Toyota extended cab p/u, and went to Moab with some friends. A "friend of a friend" showed up in a 94 2 door, that was decked out nicely, doorless, tube doors, lifted, gifted, locked and loaded, haha...killer orange color, too...we went and ran Cliffhanger, and that XJ KILLED IT...I decided then, that when the time came to get another vehicle, the XJ would be the one. 2 years later, after my trans gave out, I realized the dream, LMAO

Never had a vehicle until late senior year of high school, a crappy, bumperless, slow, oil leaky '93 Ford Escort hatchback. Lived it's life being an A to B car that was embarrassing, finally I started looking for a new car. I was honestly looking for an Audi, or a sedan good in the winter. My stepdad told me all of these cool stories and experiences of him and his friends with XJs, I didn't even know that the Cherokee was a Jeep! Flash a couple months and in March of 2013 I found an all bright red, mostly clean '97 4dr country trim. The 2 days before I bought it my car would die on me in the street, so I new it was time. Flash to a few weeks ago and the amount of fun and knowledge I gained when putting the lift on (minus me wanting to set it on fire and burn it to the ground in frustration) gave me the itch and wanted to do more, as well as the decidin factor for a career.

I rode motorcycles for years, before I got married, and into my first few years of marriage. But then we had some medical bills from when my 2nd child was born, and I sold the bike to pay for them... but then I started to get an itch for SOMETHING. and I looked at bikes, but with 2 little kids, it was hard to buy another motorcycle. So I picked up a jeep patriot, since we lived in the middle of nowhere at the time, and it was AWESOME, and that poor thing was beat on almost every weekend. But after about 18 months, my brain kicked in and I realized I was destroying a $20,000 car. So I sold it and bought my XJ for $500. I don't get to take it out nearly as often, as it is broken frequently, and it has taken a lot of $ to keep it on the road, but part of me is attached even more since so much of my blood, sweat, tears, time, and money have gone into that thing. But if I had to get a new DD, I would buy another patriot in a heart beat with the FDII package.

When I was a firefighter back in the mid eighties the assistant Chief had one and I rode with him on fire calls sometimes and have wanted one ever since. My neighbor who was a state engineer also drove one for work.
I have always loved the rugged simplicity of the xj and finally bought one 4 years ago from an old man who literally just drove it to church.

I've owned Jeeps throughout much of my working career. It started with a '69 CJ with a Meyers snow plow in the early '70s that I used to help pay my way through college. After a decade + long lull I purchased a '90 XJ Laredo with all of the options. I wanted a 2 dr. but with kids on the way I had to go with a 4 dr. Both of my sons came home from the hospital in that Jeep. I finally got a 2 dr. about ten years ago. It's '95 with no options at all ... just the way I wanted it. I retired at the end of 2012 and had to get rid of my company car. I went from a Mercedes E320 to a '03 TJ. That was quite a change but I figured I wasn't getting any younger. I still have the '95 XJ and the '03 TJ and that's enough ... for now!

bam. A jeep RC car. Had it since I was 4 and just found it yesterday. Also helps that the jeep I haw has been in the family since it was new and it used to be my grandparents and my dad has a 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee so it's a thing for my family to like jeeps. Oh and also the family mechanic has an 89 xj that he cut in half and made it 3 feet wider
The KK is also his and that's his DD.

I needed a vehicle to haul me across the country. I did the research, then went to the auto auction. It wasn't until I got her fixed up and running correctly that I fell in love. At first she wouldn't go past 3rd gear without shaking violently. But it is where she has taken me since that makes her a keeper. Only way to get rid of her is to upgrade to one with a payment.
