Talking WHAT is Happening to me ?

Hi Folks,
I bought a 95' Jeep Cherokee Sport... She only had 51,000 miles , But was a financial total, with NO title... Great maintenance history, Just had a big dent in driver side rear quarter ...
I decided to jump in...I bought it and got a new title, added a brush bar and thought I was ready for a Baja Road Trip
But that's when things went sideways.....
I was a gear- head early in my life, and have always enjoyed going to local car shows....Staring in awe at the beautiful engine bays and the immaculate engine parts....
So here I am getting ready to do a tune up, new plugs ,cap , rotor ,wires, new air filter . (..I want to discuss air filters again in the future.. ) .... And I'm looking at this engine bay in pretty good shape, and thinking, I should clean this up..
SO ,I've degreased the motor,,wiped down.any surface I can find, and now, I'm scheduled for a 3" lift on Saturday,.....,can I live with my 29" tires ? I'll send pics.....I know they will be wimpy looking..But these tires only have 6,000 miles on them !!! Is it vanity or reality that says .....YOU NEED 31s !!!!! ???
Do I look for help with this addiction ? Or just go with it ?

It's your Jeep, your money, and you are FREE to do whatever you want with either. Don't forget if you buy 31s you can sell your old tires since they are fairly new. You guys have mud up there and bigger tires do help, but not sure how much difference there will be. It will look better, if that matters.

Your 29s will be perfect. You wont have to trim and they shouldnt look too small at a 3" lift. And on the plus side, you really dont need to regear. At a 31" tire, it is recommended to regear. Its not cheap to do. Run them, if you dont like them, change it. Its your Jeep, make it what you want.

they'll look fine. But if you want, get 31s and sell the others.

I have a 3 inch lift with 31's, I only make contact when I try and turn really sharp.

Skip the 31s, jump straight to 33s. Of course, then you will need to regear, cut the fenders and install aftermarket flares (or run no flares), longer bumpstops, and might as well do wheels then too. It's a sickness. Sell now, or DIVE in.
