Default this is what happens after you see so many epic xj's here

Makes you think your XJ is 4x4 when its 2WD :P So I decided to go offroad to a place near home that I visit often. Well today it was more muddy than usual but still I said what the hell let's do it. I went over the first couple of puddles and then I drifted a bit and BAMM here got stuck in a ditch! lolz

I was there alone for like 20 minutes trying to get out and nada. I ran like half a mile to a baseball park nearby and there was a dude with a wrangler and he said he could help me Then when he got there we forgot neither of us had chains, ropes or cables. I ran to my house got straps from my surfboard (LOL) and an extension cord (like that's gonna do the trick)

So the cord broke in 3 secs, then we left the xj there and went to a local tire store and they gave us a chain (my day was turning better at this point ) So we then hooked up the chain and I became free in less than 10 seconds.

Here is a small look of the inside

After that we got out and I returned the chain

My savior lol

And what a better way to end the day having a nice cold corona talking about XJ's and Wranglers

My wife DDs a Wrangler. I know she'd help, if she could. If I were with her I know we'd help, no matter the make.

I'll leave alone anything involving safety with the cord and chains.

yea same here, i went to Ghetto mud (gee oh dee knows) to pull out my buddy matt, and after i did, we heard guys talkin, and were like wtf? and went looking around and found them walking the trail quite a ways away from their truck, turns out a newer model full size Excursion with some lift and 33" needle grapplers got stuck in a some mild ruts due to engine troubles and the ruts to them were treacherous, jumped and damn near tipped to get to him and pulled him out at the cost of a tow strap (which broke after pulling him out) and i only asked for a couple bucks for the extra gas i had used to get to him and pull him out... No matter the make model or ethnicity, Help is givin to those in need.

I was in my buddies 4 runner and he thought it would be a good idea to go 4 wheelin in the snow, without any kind of recovery gear or warm clothes. Ofcourse we got stuck and needed to get help but the part that made us look really stupid was that the only thing in the yota to use to dig out was a fast food cup with no bottom on it. after an hour of sifting the snow around the tires some guys on snow mobiles came by and had one of the smallest shovels known to man. We used that for another hour and no success at all. Now its getting dark and we all have wet feet and its too far to walk to town. the guys on the snow mobiles were nice enough to take us to town where my zr2 s10 4x4 with chains and straps and a come along was so I could use it to get the yota out.
Ive had plenty of times wheeling or dirtbike ridding where I needed help or a stranger needed help and I will always help anyone who needs it.

looks like a fun time... but maybe you should buy some front tow hooks and a tow hitch.... for next time... just a thought...
