What kind of jack do you carry in your XJ? (Not the OEM scissor crap)

I have a Reese brand farm jack for off-road emergencies and a 12-ton bottle jack that I use 99% of the time. I also still have the stock jack under the seat that I haven't bothered to take out.

How did you make it this far in life?
My girl friend changed a tire on a E350 van all by herself in the dark using the stock emergency tools supplied from the auto manufacturer and that's a 8000lb van with 8 freaking lug nuts on a heavy 16" rim lol
Thanks for the laugh lol lol

OEM jacks are confusing to use in the dark, and seem totally unstable.
I would rather wait 2 hours for a tow truck than use the OEM jack.
I keep a $30 mini-jack in all my cars instead. But, these won't reach the XJ.
I will try to use it on the axle tube even though that is not the designated jack point.

Lol on 33's the stock jack still lifted up my buddies old xj plenty enough to change out his tire.. Have you ever TRIED using the jack before? Or even know what it looks like?
I'd like to see how you get a high lift on the lower shock mount.

Do you slide it on the ground sideways so it lays flat ? If so it wont help you jack it up !
At work I use a Rotary 2 post lift or a Hunter 4 Post Lift, At Home I use a 3ton Floor Jack, On the trail I use a 48" Hi-Lift

60" hi-lift for me too
since my front warn bumper is angled, i will stick the lift point into a d-shackle flipped up and jack from that.
but that's only after i strap my axle to my engine skid brace. too much flex...

You guys realize you are recommending hi lift jacks for someone with no rocker protection or aftermarket bumpers, who just wants it to change out a tire on the side of the road? And who thinks the stock bottle jack is "too confusing and unstable"?
If he thinks a stock bottle jack is too confusing and unstable, he is in for a real treat if he tries to use a hi-lift. not to mention the lack of surface area to jack up from the stock pinch seam or bumpers without crushing them.

For those that are so **** about me saying high lift sorry this is what I meant for the op to use on flat surfaces as he already said that he does very little off road driving. Thank you for bringing it to my attention, now go back to trolling.

I carried a 3-ton Craftsman floor jack in my XJ. Total overkill. I have a 48" HiLift in the MJ cause I can lay it down behind the bench. I've also jacked up the front of my truck with the OEM bottle jack from a VW Passat. These trucks aren't heavy, just buy something that isn't complete crap.
