even better than a bottle jack or floor jack. takes up very little space and absolutely no sweat lifting up the jeep.

This thread is quickly becoming more and more wonderful.

I have a 2 ton floor jack in my parts bin in the back, and two OEM bottle jacks (one from the XJ, the other from my old Bronco II) under the back seat. I prefer the floor jack, but the bottles are nice for stabilizing things if need be. They work in a pinch.

it's just a freakin jack man. just get one you are comfortable using.
if your jeep is lifted, then you will have to get creative.

Bottle jack would be the best for space and weight.

If he thinks a stock bottle jack is too confusing and unstable, he is in for a real treat if he tries to use a hi-lift. not to mention the lack of surface area to jack up from the stock pinch seam or bumpers without crushing them.

if you have to ask........

That jack base is unstable and dangerous! What if a cat or postal worker passed by?

Postal worker would be fine(as far as the dog is concerned) LOL

But a cat? it would be all over

I don't have any problem with the high lift base. you have to use common sense when using a high lift. and many people lack common sense.

So I guess its not for everyone

im sure this is an older picture. but the more suspension droop you have, the sketchier the hi-lift gets to get the tire off the ground. I have to ratchet strap my axle to the body somewhere if i ever want to get my tires off the ground with a 48" hi lift.

and a 60" would just get real sketchy if actually used to lift the rig that high.
