Also, do you guys think $250 for the full set is a fair price? I realize it depends on the conditions, which I don't yet know. For arguments sake, assume they are in good condition.

Here's my situation and what I want to do: I have a 98 XJ and I have located a set of leather seats out of an 01 Grand Cherokee ... I'm good to go? (provided I swap the rails off the bottoms of the seats I have in the XJ)

how about this, can you put different brackets or rails under the seat so you can actually put stuff under the seat? like an amp or something?

I too would like to know how difficult the wiring is for power seats. I went out to a junk yard and found a buttery set of leather seats out of an 01 GCL and can see there's maybe five wires for each seat. Goodness knows how far and to where those wires go ...
Maybe better off with leather seats out of an XJ Limited?

correct on the 95 and up and 94 and down. different floors, different bolt pattern.
you can do the wiring, it's very easy. just get the harness/plugs from the donor vehicle and snip them as high up as you can. then just wire them in from there and be sure to use a relay and inline fuse as the grand seats with heaters use a lot of current.
i put in some power leather seats from a limited into my 90 pioneer and just did the harness to inline fuse and wired to battery. you could add a fuse block on the firewall or under the dash that is wired to the battery also.

just be sure to properly wire it all up with relays and inline fuses. and double check wiring for any bare spots. last thing you want is a burnt up jeep in your driveway.
