Then I installed a 12" sub and ran all the bass to the sub and turn the high pass filter setting on the head unit all the way up. That way the speakers hit the high's and mids and the sub takes care of all the lows.
I know what you mean, the "bass" coming from these is just that, vibration. I'm just so shocked that like the stock ones that were in there actually sounded really good, I just figured while I did the head unit (wanted bluetooth) may as well do speaker upgrade too. My rational was new speakers must = even BETTER sound! NOPE!

It's just irritating that to get decent sound, the same that oh, my little apple head phones can produce, or the like cd player stereo I have that I dont use anymore, you need to go with an amp, subwoofer and spend a ton of money.

This seriously frustrates the s*** out of me..

Yes 6.5 in. speakers fit in the rear headliner. I put some 6.5 in. pioneer tsg1644r in the back after I changed my headliner. The speaker covers like to fight their way off. I used a screw driver to push back on the last 2 spots where they go through the headliner and into the soundbar. To get the 6.5 in speakers screwed in the speaker needs to have two opposite mounting holes to put the screws in. The pioneer tsg1644 have the mounting holes you need so take a look at them, unless you feel like modifying the soundbar.

Well yeah, after putting in the 5 and a quarters I'm pretty convinced I could manage some 6.5's in there no problem. Like the stock size 5.25's didn't even line up with the stock holes in the doors so I ended up busting out the drill to make some new holes so they could fit.. And sound like ***. But pretty sure I'm going to throw the stock ones back in the front, return all four, and use that money to just get two high end 6.5's for the rear.

.. If bestbuy doesn't take them back, as god as my witness I am going to raise hell..

I wouldn't bother with high end ones in the back. Because it's just open air behind where they mount they don't really make that much bass.
