Well, im eventually gunna get some 31 to go with the 3in lift that i will eventually have.. haha

i want a tire that will last, and give me good on and offroad performance...

ive been looking a ton and reading reviews, but i just dont have a good feel for how long they will last...

if i could get 40k+ it would be best, but idk if thats possible... im open to m/t and a/t

i put a set of 31x10.50 super swamper truxxus mt's of my gf's grand cherokee and have put around 30k on em so far. they are quiet, ride nice, and look sweet.

after 30k there is still 1/4 inch of tread left. and her grand cherokee has the 249 tcase so its in 4wd all the time, causing more wear than on a cherokee. im sure of it.

i expect to get at least another 5k out of em.

my wife had mickey thompson ATZ plus on her ZJ for 30k and when we sold it they still had prob 70% on them. also i have a customer w/ pro comp Xtreme A/T's with about the same mileage on a JK and same tread left plus they are both pretty aggressive A/T's as well.

Firestone Destination A/T's!
They work great, I had some 31's on my 92XJ with 3" of lift. They were an awesome tire but sadly I sold the tires and that Cherokee.

If you have the money I think BFG AT/KO's are amazing at off road performance and lasting for quite a while. Can't say you will get 40K out of them but both the BFG's and Firestone A/T's will last a while and be great off road.

Here are the 31's on my 92 when they were brand new.

After a little trip down south

Maxxis Bighorns are great tires, from my experience they preform spectacularly for a 31" tire offroad in deep mud and anything else you throw at em. Handle great on the street, although the are a bit loud. I can't say anything for or against the tread life as I've only had them for a couple thousand miles.
