hit up a pick-an-pull, or pull-a-part whatever you wanna call em, and just start yankin jeep parts

by the way sweet jeep! i like the look of it. my personal opinion for your jeep would just get a mud terrain tire, and a roof rack. and you would have yourself a sweet jeep.
Thanks man. I really want to get some mud terrain tires to give it a wider stance and to give it more of an offroad look. Do you have any suggestions of what size so I can keep the rims I have. They're 16" rims. Or what brands?

You should go with BFG A/T's, they ride great on the road but if you want to get a little dirty here and there, they can take you there as well.

You should def. be able to get any size tire on those 16" rims. I would say just stay with the same size tire you have on the rims now but get the mud terrain tire. And i personally like the BFG's thats what i got on mine and they are so common to get ahold of if you ever need a spare tire or run a flat or something any place should have something for you. That and you could actually carry a full size spare in your jeep verse having and oversize tire you wouldnt be able to fit anything in the rear. or you loose your roof rack space, unless you get a swing tire mount.

stay stock size but change from the 8in to a 10.5in wide, just change your tire to a BFG mud terrain, maybe try to go a size or two bigger if you can fit em but cost effective wise stay with the original size. saves you on milage too

Ya Svrider thats what I was thinking. If i'm not mistaken the 10.5" wide tires are the 265/75R16's right? Since you would divide 265 by 25.4 to convert millimeters to inches. I might be mistaken tho.

Aren't they kinda pricey?

I've also heard a few people on here say they clog up really quick, they have trouble clearing the tread.

yea 10.5 is right but the 265/75 is almost a 32 so he would need like a 265 45 or 55 range. or the 245s they wouldnt be that much skinnier.

There is more than one size tire for 15 inch rims, though. How small is that $125 tire?

From tirerack.com:

215/75R15= $111
235/75R15= $122

I also found these:

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....nture+SAT+KL61

They placed 1 out of 23 in the onroad/offroad all-terrain category, unlike the BFG AT which placed 13 out of 23. Ill probably get them next time I get new tires

i have ran several bfg at's and they seem to hold up really well, i've gotten 45k miles out of a set on a dodge 1500. That being said, they are built for the road. i plan on gettin a set of 32 10.5 bfg's for dd'ing and some 33 12.5 boggers when i wanna go play

Can't believe it hasn't been mentioned yet, but black out those wheels if you are into that type of thing. You can do it yourself easily on a broke college kid budget.

Quick and dirty photo edit:

Do the H4 HID headlight conversion. It will make the jeep look mean at night!
