get a stock size tire but in a mud terrain. make it look a lil wider, throw on a brush guard or weld up some bumpers. and a roof rack, weld up an exhaust/get and intake/snorkle. and your good to go. I actually like the stock look on the jeeps. with just the minor modifications. i think your being smart if you go that way.
hit up a pick-an-pull, or pull-a-part whatever you wanna call em, and just start yankin jeep parts
by the way sweet jeep! i like the look of it. my personal opinion for your jeep would just get a mud terrain tire, and a roof rack. and you would have yourself a sweet jeep.

You should go with BFG A/T's, they ride great on the road but if you want to get a little dirty here and there, they can take you there as well.

stay stock size but change from the 8in to a 10.5in wide, just change your tire to a BFG mud terrain, maybe try to go a size or two bigger if you can fit em but cost effective wise stay with the original size. saves you on milage too

Ya Svrider thats what I was thinking. If i'm not mistaken the 10.5" wide tires are the 265/75R16's right? Since you would divide 265 by 25.4 to convert millimeters to inches. I might be mistaken tho.

I've also heard a few people on here say they clog up really quick, they have trouble clearing the tread.

yea 10.5 is right but the 265/75 is almost a 32 so he would need like a 265 45 or 55 range. or the 245s they wouldnt be that much skinnier.

215/75R15= $111
235/75R15= $122
I also found these:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....nture+SAT+KL61
They placed 1 out of 23 in the onroad/offroad all-terrain category, unlike the BFG AT which placed 13 out of 23. Ill probably get them next time I get new tires

i have ran several bfg at's and they seem to hold up really well, i've gotten 45k miles out of a set on a dodge 1500. That being said, they are built for the road. i plan on gettin a set of 32 10.5 bfg's for dd'ing and some 33 12.5 boggers when i wanna go play

Can't believe it hasn't been mentioned yet, but black out those wheels if you are into that type of thing. You can do it yourself easily on a broke college kid budget.
