Just make sure you check the gaskets! If they haven't been changed yet, they probably need it.

I bought it last fall but due to circumstances I had to park it thru the winter but before doing it I noticed there was no flid in the tranny ( figured that out on the drive home from the po's place this spring when i brought it out i figured I had a leak well after filling it and driving it s couple miles and not finding a leak but no fluid again i figured out the tranny was just so dry there was no fluid in the torch converter the first time i filled it... po musta done some tranny work and not refilled it.

Nice! I owned a 2004 wrx. Great car but insurance was outrageous. Right now I pay $110 for full coverage on a Toyota rav4 and a 99 Harley softail, liability on a 90 civic, the jeep and a dirtbike. For just the subie alone I was paying I think $114 a month. If you can swing the extra $$ they definitely are great cars. I personally would look at an 04 or newer. The 2.5 engines are a lot more reliable as the 2.0's were notorious for spinning rod bearings even under mild abuse and the transmissions in the 1st generation wrx's were cheese.
