I average about 10-12 mpg on 31's w/ 3" of lift

 

137,000 for a '97 XJ sport. I'm the 3rd owner

 

Im only getiing about 10 max. what would be causing me to get suck lousy gas mileage?

 

well it depends.. what size tires? what kind of lift? what gears in what axles?

 

I've got a 98 with 173xxx stock gears getting about 15 mpg

 

I haven't done much pure highway driving. That being said 10/13/15 city/mix/hwy.
Idk if 10 is normal for a 92 4.0 on 32" tires with stock everything else or not but I would love to increase it. Been using MMO hoping for a slight increase.

147k. rock stock with exception to 703 injectors. 21-23 mpg. 225/75/15 tires.

had 129k on it when I bought it jan of this year. 1st registered owner, it was state owned prior.

 

649000+km, (you can't stop that 4.0!) 20 mpg, 3.5" on 31's, 3:55 gear
(tires and lift cost 2 mpg over stock) Mileage is obviously not a problem because I'm always collecting parts and tires for additional lift.

 

127K-ish, second owner, 15 city/22 highway, 703 injectors, 235/75-15s.

16/21mpg

did mustang injectors. Really helped. also did a specter air intake,62mm throttle body, manifold, exhaust...

its ALOT of air going thru now. but the pick up is jaw dropping and mileage increases have been so worth it(just parts, did all my own labor)

gonna go with a OME 2.5 inch lift, maybe 30's and then prolly a custom tuned ECM to get it all working together more

 

My jeep is bone stock. my tires are 235 75 15. Most of the time im fairly light on the gas peddle. XJnumero3 What exact injectors did you use for the injector swap? i wat to do this! How does it idle? Also where did you get the 62mm throttle body?
