Default Wheel Spacers

When I turn the steering wheel lock to lock the tire is hitting the frame. I am running 31-10.5-15 wheels and a three inch lift. what are the benefits or the negative on using 1.5" wheel spacers.

just get rims with proper back space. Spacers are dangerous, you can't cheap out on them. By the time you pay for the spacers you could have just gotten new rims anyway haha

Spacers are safe as long as they are a good quality spacer and properly installed.

i wouldn'tsay they are completely safe, there are still risks. We stopped selling and installing spacers, and thats that we only sold good ones amd installed by the book. There was an incident and the owner decided he no longer wanted the liability.

I've had spacers on my Jeep for about 8 years now with many cross PA state trips and wheeling never an issue. Hubcentric spacers, torque wrench and locktite are 3 best friends to ensure safety.

And what does good spacers cost close to 200 for all 4 wheels ?A set of steel rims will be cheaper and a lot less work if you ever had to do brakes or anything like that.

Stay away from them cheapies on eBay. I've had them break on my wheeler and that's not near the weight of your jeep. I would go with new wheels if you have the extra cash steelies are not to pricey if you have 15s. Think you can't get them for around $45 each from various Suppliers like Summit or Quadratec. The Blackrocks I ordered where $96 something each for 17 by 8s
