Starter has gone out twice, leaving me at a party store and in the parking lot at work. Was able to start it and fix it at home both times though. Battery was bad and I had to 2 petal it for a week when I tried to delay buying a new battery. Heater control valve exploded as I pulled in the driveway on my lunch break, that was just lucky timing. Rad cap went out at school once and I sprayed coolant out of almost every hose connection, was able to top it off and limp to the store with the cap half on to buy a new one. Never been stuck on the side of the road though! Couldn't bear to let my girl be displayed like that! That was all in the 3 short years I have had her, could of had worse problems!

Well technically i was only on the side of the road once lol but it was at 3 am when a pulley failed and shredded the belt and i was about 80 miles north of my home on the highway the other time i was in a dunkin donuts parking lot lol probably the worst spot to get delayed at because i at half a dozen donuts and 2 large coffees lol

Knock on wood, but so far the XJ has been good to me in the year I've owned her. The only time she really gets stopped on the side of the road is when I'm offering help to someone else who is broken down (as it very well could be me next time lol). Closest it's come to leaving me stranded was breaking a rear u-joint and dropping the shaft, but through it in 4hi and carried on.
