When I bought my XJ a few years ago I decided I wanted to build it myself so bought a stock one. I saw many already built rigs that would have cost less than half in the long run.
i.e. ZJ with f/r Clayton long arms, D44, 12B with spool, NP231, 35s asking $2800. Only thing was the D44 internals wasn't finished (no gears, locker). Should have bought it.

Craigslist = 95% dumba$$ sellers / buyers.
Sorry but it's true.
I absolutely hate selling anything on CL because of all the idiots on there.

There are a ton of idiots on CL that think their crap is Gold. I sell quite a bit on CL, but I price stuff to sell. I plan on the first guy commin to see what I'm sellin will buy it. That's all CL is worth to me.
Funny though with all the "don't have to sell it", "no low *****", & my favorite "testing the water".
I like how guys just post the same post day after day..... Isn't your personal time worth something? Just take the cash in hand and call it a day.... Stupid-asses!

I never sell and normally only use CL to give away stuff. Once somebody contacts me I just give them my address and leave it in the driveway and tell them to come and get it.
I got rid of my D35 that way. Just by chance I say a guy wanted a D35 tru-trac for his YJ. I told him I had one for free but he had to take the whole XJ axle. He was more than happy to take everything. Cool guy and we chatted for a while when he picked it up.
Buying/selling on CL not so much fun.

This. It's not a big deal. If anything it saves time on both ends since neither party wastes time and gas money on an in-person lowball offer that won't get accepted.
As for high prices, that's not a big deal either. It costs nothing to list a vehicle on craigslist. Maybe I should list mine even though I just bought it. I have no intention of selling it, but if someone wants to pay a couple thousand more than I put into it, sure, I guess I'll sell it. There's no downside to me listing it other than the time to take a few pictures and type up a description and quickly scanning and deleting some emails.

One thing that gets me is when I look at a Jeep on CL and it says it has the "4.0 v6" when I see that I automatically know they really have no idea what they're talking about. Lol

I use Craigslist often. Hell, I sold 5 things on CL in November alone. I don't have time to **** around with people playing games, so I price things to sell. I usually get things sold in 2-3 days.

Personally I've made some excellent buys off of craigslist my XJ and the GC both among them. As far as selling had good luck there also when you blow off the low ballers and tire kickers, as others have said cash speaks in a loud clear voice.....Dead Presidents RULE!!!!

I use CL all the time, I browse the listings daily...when it comes time to sell something and someone lowballs me I just tell them to f*** off. Most times they'll text or call the next day with a reasonable offer, otherwise someone else with ****** it up.
Sure you have to deal with a bunch of idiots and arsholes, but too many great deals on there to not keep coming back.
