If I post a question, that may be stupid. I would rather get a rude or insulting answer than no answer.. At least this way I know my question was stupid.

I myself will give a rude answer now and then. BUT it usually because the 3 other people are asking the same question on the first page of the forum. I bet there are 3-10 "why wont my Jeep start" or "Biggest tire on Stock Jeep" questions in the first 3 pages of this forum, the last 24 hours. Sometime the Rude "Go Search" is applicable. Heck you don't even have to use the search box most of the time, just look at the first few pages of the forum, to find most basic answers.

The best action to take against a non helpful rude forum member is to not give a reaction. Simply be kind and helpful and hope that others follow your example.

I'm sorry if I come across as one of those people, but its the internet. Get over it. Most people think and act differently than you. Get over it. Its life. Get over it. If someone tells you your jeep looks like ****. Get over it, its the internet.

If you wanna see rude people, get on Pirate4x4. Those are rude people, but also people who tell it like it is.

I like this forum a lot, but I sometimes feel like everything here has to be sugar coated.

Well thats my opinion of these rude people.

These threads make me giggle.

As I said in the OTHER thread about exactly the same thing....Go on pirate, register and post something....anything.....and see how you like the way they respond.

Gotta love these threads, eh xjoffroad

X2 on ritter's post. Pirate will rip you to shreds but they will keep you alive if you listen to what they say...most of the time

This isn't pirate4x4, and that's why I like it here. People here are respectful (for the most part).

The people at pirate4x4 remind me of high school.

That's true, but the half the people on here aren't as knowledgeable as most of the people on pirate.

I wasn't saying that this is pirate, I was merely comparing the two.

You just have to realize that most of the people on pirate are either joking or giving you constructive criticism. When you don't take the constructive criticism, and you keep doing what you're doing(almost always the more unsafe way of doing whatever it is that you're doing) thats when things get ugly and people start *****ing at you. They are trying to help you make your rig perform better while keeping you safe. And yes, they like having a good laugh and making a lot of jokes. Hence all the bad *** smilies they have.

I can't tell if you're complaining about people being rude, or if you're complaining about brown nosing. It looks like your title censor is a 4 letter word starting with D which makes me think brown-nosing complaint. If it's that, I hate to be part of the problem but I agree with FLETCH up top

that other thread was my thread. and i learned how to use the ignore button. nobody has ever been directly rude to my questions, but i had just gotten tired of watching newbies get bashed and get called stupid.
but, i guess it IS the internet. not everybody wants to get rid of rude people. some find them entertaining i guess . i've let it go.
if one child has no guts to say his opinion to another man's face, then let him enjoy the safety of the internet.
if you wanna be the good guy for the newbies, then be one. don't pay no mind to the CYBER-HEROES.
