Why run Boggers....
Im on the verg of just selling my Boggers. Why, because i keep hearing they are bad about sliding down hill and arent worth a turd on rocks. So for those who have run boggers, what are your reviews on them? Honestly.. I havent ever run them, yea i relize they are notourious for breaking front and rearends, but hey, thats all apart of ridin and having fun. Im not concerned with how they ride on the road, i just wanna know how they perform in the woods from mud, hills, being on a hill sideways, rocks and everything inbetween.

I've haven't heard to many bad things about boggers, but tons of bad stuff about thornbirds. I have actually seen them in action and they suck. I've seen boggers used also and they seem to do well at Rausch Creek in PA which consists of a mix of rocks and mud.

i am still using my boggers and they are bold in the middle. i will probably get another pair. i have had no trouble with them and i climb hills with big rocks sticking out and i am still open front and rear.

I got to thinkin, once i do put em in the woods and if the front end was to slide around much, ill do like alot of people do on buggys and such, put TSL's on the front and leave the boggers on the back... But im not hardcore wheeler, i like to have fun and play but im usually one that sits back and watch others break and flip stuff.

Which tire groover is best to buy? I personally have never grooved tires, though have been around it being done quite a few times so i got an idea on it. Ive searched around and found a few diffrent patterns also.

they were my first big bias ply tire.
i didn't complain about them when i had them, because i didn't know any better.
but once i started trying out different tires i will never run boggers again.
but they did like to crabwalk, they werent impressive in the rocks, the jeep rode like it was on tracks, they ate up suspension joints and bushings, made my jeep feel like it was going to fall apart (and eventually did)
it was cool driving down the road in something that sounds like a biplane though. they were a novelty item for me.
i would take iroks, creepy crawlers,ssr's,km2's, and most any radial mud terrain over them.
boggers are simply old, outdated, technology
