Wife’s mail jeep
Hi folks please don’t think I’m a lazy turd I have looked around but I figured id ask some people who know what they’re talking about. My wife had a stroke and she can’t drive we’re selling her factory right hand drive mail jeep. My buddies tell me it’s pretty rare around here but I also don’t want to deal with waiting for the perfect storm to get a few extra bucks. 448k with the odometer busted before we got it runs like a champ drives great but as you’d guess with half a million on it it’s got issues as well. Thanks for any advice on what we should ask for it. CentralOregon coast

If it was mine, I'd be happy to get a thousand dollars for it just to be done with it. Rare does not mean desirable.
I'm assuming it has a handful of issues, some rust, and no service records.

Yep. That thing is not well kept, and at 500K miles, it's a crap shoot. If you get $1k, consider yourself lucky.

Btw, that speedo is in Kph and not mph. Jeep doesn't have nearly half a million miles, it has over 277k miles
I had a very clean rust free and original 94 rhd a few winter seasons back. It had roughly 120k miles. Comparable rhd dealerships around the US were asking over 10-12k for similar condition xjs. Listed mine for $7k and settled rather quickly for $6k.
If yours has a pile of problems and needs maintenance then it might as well be just another high mileage xj really. In my area I typically see the high mileage rhd xjs around $2k. No idea how long they sit or sell for but that seems to be a typical asking price for one that atleast runs and drives

that's a $500 Jeep max. If someone offers you $1000, take the cash and run.

Didn't know there was still such a thing as a $500 XJ. You don't see any here for under £1,000 anymore, not even non-runners.
