I've got limo tint all the way around – limo on fronts and lighter tint over the factory 15% in the rear to semi-match the front. Got a tint strip on the front too. Sometimes, it's an important step towards privacy, especially since here in Florida, a car is considered an extension of your home.
It's Florida, but I've never been bothered by cops. Essentially, they go driving around with the same tint as I do and they even have it done at the same shop. It's a big fat "who the **** cares" here in Florida. If you have trouble seeing at night, roll down all your windows and enjoy the breeze like I do. It's a Jeep, your windows don't need to be up unless it's raining.
I paid about $130 for the entire Jeep to be tinted at a shop.

I have 20% over the factory rear tint, and 5% on the front two windows.
It is pretty damn dark, but the rear windscreen is still see-through. If was going to do it again, I would still go with 20% over the factory rear windows, but do either 15% or 5% over the rear windscreen so people can't see inside my cargo area. 5% on the front windows is perfect for me, I just need to get the windshield tinted to 70-90% and it will be perfect
My tint is mostly for theft/break-in deterrence, but I do like people not being able to stare at me when I am in traffic.

I was thinking it might be nice to tint the rear door and hatch windows to cut down on summer heat. (Here in NJ you can't apply tint to the front doors or windshield but there are no restrictions for rear doors or back window.) Will tinting the hatch glass screw up the defogger?
